  • Patent number: 11948462
Abstract: An image generating apparatus generates an image to be displayed on a display and includes at least one memory and a control circuit. The control circuit acquires a plurality of camera images captured by a plurality of cameras installed in a vehicle, calculates a distance between one of the cameras and a target to be projected in in the camera images, detects a position of a light-transmissive object or a reflective object in the camera images, and generates an image from a point of view that is different from points of view of the plurality of camera images by using the plurality of camera images and the distance, the generated image including a predetermined image that is displayed at the position of the light-transmissive object or the reflective object.

  • Publication number: 20090037381
Abstract: A database system registers data unreflected in an index into a registration text buffer. When the database system retrieves a registration text buffer, the database system prepares a registration buffer index using retrieval character indicated by a retrieval request. Thereafter, when a retrieval request is received, an index in a database is retrieved. When there is no pertinent data in the index, the registration buffer index is retrieved. An index indicated by the registration buffer index is used to retrieve the registration text buffer. The database system reflects the registration buffer index in the index at predetermined timing. Thus, even if the number of data registered in the registration text buffer is increased, the retrieval time is not increased.

  • Patent number: 6182082
Abstract: A system for managing an object-oriented database in response to a request issued from an application program includes a database for storing therein both of a class having a definition of an object and an object generated from the class; a generating unit for generating a class and a plurality of attributes based on class definition information and attribute definition information, which are designated by the application program; another generating unit for generating an object to store an attribute value corresponding to the class definition information in accordance with the class definition information, the object generating unit including a-storage control unit for storing the attribute value related to a normal attribute into one storage unit area of the database when the request issued from the application program is related to the normal attribute, and for storing the attribute value related to a clustering attribute into another storage unit area of the database when the request issued from the appli

  • Patent number: 5946689
Abstract: In a distributed database system including a plurality of database systems each having a database, wherein a database possessed by one of the database systems serves as an original database, and databases of the remaining database systems are produced by replicating the original database, the presence or absence of update contention of the same data in two database systems is detected. When data susceptible to detection of update contention is updated, an update serial number is produced for the data. The update serial number includes a system identifier for identifying a database system in which the data is updated and an update frequency related to the number of times of updates. The update serial number is accumulatively stored in an update serial number history associated with the data each time the data is updated.

  • Patent number: 5710920
Abstract: In an object extending method for use in an object-oriented data base system having an object having an attribute, a relation and a procedure and a definition object having definition information determining a structure of the object, information on changes in attribute, relation and procedure which accompany a change in the definition object is held as a parts object in the definition object, and data to be newly appended to the object as a result of the change in the definition object is held as a parts object in the object, so that work to change the object in accordance with a change in schema may be reduced.

  • Patent number: 5526519
Abstract: An object-oriented system which deals with data and procedure integrally includes a memory having a real memory space which contains a set of object management information, a set of page management information, a fixed page region and an unfixed page region, a memory management section for managing these parts, a swap file for saving pages, and a method execution section which executes the procedure of an object. When loading the object into the real memory space, address-unfixed pages in the unfixed page region are allotted to the object and address-fixed pages in the fixed page region are allotted to the object at the time of execution. Consequently, the object can be accessed directly based on the physical address. The garbage collection and page swapping processes are implemented only for address-unfixed pages, and the overhead of object access operation can be reduced.

  • Patent number: 4997324
Abstract: A spindle structure for a machine tool such as a boring machine, for example, includes a rotatable tubular shaft to be coupled to a rotative drive source, and a spindle axially slidably disposed in the tubular shaft and rotatable in unison with the tubular shaft. Bushings with powder on WC-base cemented carbide thermally sprayed on inner peripheral surfaces thereof are disposed between the tubular shaft and the spindle to prevent fretting corrosion. The WC-base cemented carbide comprises 12.about.18 wt % of Co, 4.about.6 wt % of C, 0.1.about.1.2 wt % of Fe, and 75.about.84 wt % of W.

  • Patent number: 4743786
Abstract: This rotational position detection device comprises a stator section including primary and secondary windings and a rotor section disposed in such a manner that it is capable of performing relative rotational displacement with respect to the stator section. A conductive substance portion is provided in the form of a predetermined pattern. The amount of flux passing through the conductive substance portion of the rotor section changes in accordance with a relative rotational position of the rotor section with respect to the stator section and therefore an eddy current flows through the conductive substance portion. Reluctance is caused to change by a loss due to this eddy current and a secondary output signal corresponding to the rotational position is produced in the windings of the stator section. The pattern of the conductive substance portion can be formed easily by using electro-plating or other surface processing technique.

  • Patent number: 4052588
Abstract: A panel heater with a flat metal sheet of substantially even thickness of from 0.06 to 0.2 mm and having a mesh-like radiation section formed in the central portion of the sheet, the mesh-like radiation section being composed of a plurality of units of wave-like current passageways of uniform width of approximately 2 mm from one end to the other, arranged parallel to each other and connected to each other at the crests of the wave-like current passageways so that the combined width of the passageways at the crests is twice the uniform width. The panel heater also has a pair of heat resistant boards between which the metal sheet is sandwiched; and a frame assembly joining together the heat resistant boards.
