    Abstract: An absorber of rays outside the visible region. The absorber includes a base made of a transparent synthetic resin with electroconductive anhydrous zinc antimonate incorporated therein; or a base made of a transparent synthetic resin with a layer formed of a synthetic resin and electroconductive anhydrous zinc antimonate incorporated therein, for absorbing rays outside the visible region, being disposed on a surface of the base; or wherein the layer is formed by depositing electron conductive anhydrous zinc antimonate powder on a surface of the base made of a transparent synthetic resin. The electroconductive anhydrous zinc antimonate can be a powder having a molar ratio of ZnO to Sb2O5 of 0.8 to 1.2 and a primary particle size of 5 to 200 nm. The light transmittances of the absorber are high in the visible region and low in both the ultraviolet and infrared wavelength regions.

    Abstract: An electronic component includes a substrate portion, a bank portion, a plurality of lead members, an anchor hole, and at least a pair of notches. A chip is supported on the substrate portion. The bank portion is formed on a periphery of the substrate portion to surround the chip. The plurality of lead members are made of conductive strip pieces, and each lead member has an inner lead electrically connected to the chip and an outer lead extending to an outside. The substrate portion and the bank portion are integrally molded with a resin to include the lead members, so that the inner and outer leads are fixed to a connecting portion between the substrate portion and the bank portion. The anchor hole is formed in a portion where each of the lead members is in contact with the bank portion, and is filled with a resin. The pair of notches are formed in two ends of each of the lead members to sandwich the anchor hole.

    Abstract: In a lead frame flash removing method and apparatus, a lead frame is molded integrally with a case. After molding, abrasive agent-mixed water is sprayed to a surface of the lead frame where a flash is formed. The lead frame is dipped in an electrolytic solution and applying a DC voltage is applied across the lead frame and an electrode in the electrolytic solution, thereby electrolytically processing the lead frame. After the electrolytic process, an external force is applied to the surface of the lead frame, thereby removing the flash.

Film (A): an infrared-blocking film formed on a synthetic resin in which fine powder of metal oxide material composed of indium oxide and/or tin oxide is dispersed; and Film (B): an infrared-blocking film formed of a deposit of a metal oxide material composed of indium oxide and/or tin oxide. The infrared-blocking film may be formed on a transparent support member to constitute an infrared-blocking composite film which is provided on a surface of the transparent substrate to form an infrared-blocking optical filter.

One of the plastic optical material comprises an acrylic polymer containing a specific phosphate group represented by the formula PO(OH).sub.n -- (n being 1 or 2) of 0.5-60%, and a metal ion component comprising a neodymium ion of 0.04-10 parts based on 100 parts of the acrylic polymer, and has properties that rays in a wavelength range about 580 nm are absorbed. Another plastic optical material comprises 100 parts of the same acrylic polymer, and 0.1-12 parts of a metal ion component composed of a manganese ion in a predominant amount and a neodymium ion, and has properties that rays in wavelength ranges of 400-500 nm and 555-605 nm are absorbed with high efficiency.This plastic optical material is particularly suitable for use in plastic lenses for sunglasses.

The graft copolymer includes a graft-polymerized component having a weight-average molecular weight 50.times.10.sup.4 -300.times.10.sup.4. The polycarbonate resin composition shows a good extrudability and provides a sheet product which exhibits good thermoforming characteristics, such as suppressed drawdown and good deep drawability.

An antistatic resin composition comprising this multiply grafted copolymer alone or a mixture of this copolymer and a thermoplastic resin compatible therewith can utilize the rubbery polymer component (b) more effectively than an antistatic resin composition comprising a graft copolymer obtained by graft-polymerizing an ethylenically unsaturated monomer (c) onto a trunk polymer comprising a mere copolymer of a monomer mixture (b), and thus can provide an improved antistatic effect.
