  • Patent number: 6605388
Abstract: In a first process, an electrically conductive thin metal plate 7 is subjected to a press molding process employing a plurality of punches 3 in a primary molding block 1 and a plurality of dies 4 in a secondary molding block 2, so as to form therein a plurality of hollow projections 9 that project from one side of the metal plate 7, and bulges 14 that bulge out in a direction opposite to that of the projections 9, positioned between the projections 9. In a second process, the metal plate 7 on which have been formed the plurality of projections 9 and bulges 14 is subjected to either chemical etching or electrolytic etching, so as to form through holes 17 by corrosively removing thin-walled portions 11 from the tips of the projections 9, and, at the same time, to corrosively form innumerable fine irregularities 18 over the entire surface of the metal plate 7.

  • Patent number: 5840444
Abstract: The present invention provides an electrode for batteries, especially a pasted electrode, and a process for producing the same which is improved in the adhesiveness between the active material and the electrode core material, utilization of the active material, discharge characteristics and in the charge and discharge cycling life. The resultant electroconductive core material comprises a perforated or non-perforated metal sheet such as punched metal sheet having sintered hollow nickel members separately or entangled fixed on the surfaces thereof. The hollow of the sintered nickel members is formed due to the thermal decomposition and evaporation of the resin fibers which have been applied to the electroconductive core material.

  • Patent number: 4314870
Abstract: In a method of mounting an electronic component wherein the electronic component is temporarily mounted on a printed circuit board before the component is securely mounted on the base plate by soldering, the improvement comprises steps of delivering adhesive to the front end of a coating head of an adhesive applicator, transferring the adhesive on to the printed circuit board between connection lands provided thereon for placement of the electronic component, and then positioning the electronic component on the adhesive applied to allow the electronic component to be held in position, with its bottom surface and a part of its side surface put in contact with the adhesive. The electronic component is thus mounted temporarily on the printed circuit board.

  • Patent number: 4138835
Abstract: A method and apparatus for preparing a casing loaded with a plurality of articles such as small-sized electronic parts for use in the electronic industries, which ensures that the stored parts will be positively and stably aligned in the casing without the possibility of any play or disorientation from their regular positioning within the casing. The casing is provided with a single piece resilient element which is inserted into the casing, the resilient element being designed to resiliently expand against the inner wall surface of the casing to frictionally engage therewith. Thereafter, a plurality of parts are inserted one after another into the casing so that they become stacked in a serially aligned manner inside the casing against the resilient force of the resilient element, thus preparing a casing loaded with a plurality of parts therein stacked in a serially end-to-end resting state.
