    Abstract: Aspects capable of dynamically and flexibly supporting a plurality of locales upon provisioning are provided. An associated management server includes a storage table configured to store a plurality of logical device operations, a plurality of locales, and a plurality of workflows. The management server further includes a provisioning circuit configured to dynamically determine, for a required logical device operation among the plurality of logical device operations, a resource server among all resource servers connected to the management server by way of provisioning. Each of the resource servers is associated with a different one of the plurality of locales in advance of the provisioning. The management server further includes a calling circuit configured to search the storage table using a locale among the plurality of locales that is associated with the dynamically determined resource server to select a workflow from the plurality of workflows for the required logical device operation.

Configuration items stored in a configuration management database are associated with the configuration items for the physical location information. Preferably, the physical location information is configured as structured data. This makes it possible to establish hierarchical associations between configuration items for the physical location information.

The length 11 of the flute 4 is at least 5 times and at most 10 times the drill diameter 2. The diameter of the drill section 5, after being reduced in diameter from the cutting edge 3 toward the rear of the drill section 5, is expanded in diameter so that the outer diameter at the end of the flute 4 becomes at least 0.9 times and at most 0.98 times the drill diameter 2.

    Abstract: A method of fabricating a superconducting ceramic pipe including the steps of: melting a ceramic powder having a predetermined composition to form a melt; filling a supporting tube with the melt by a suction caused by a vacuum pressure; partially solidifying an outer part of the melt near the tube to form a shell (i.e., a ceramic pipe); discharging an inner unsolidified part at the center of the tube from the tube by gravity, to form a solidified ceramic pipe on the inside surface of the tube; and heat treating the ceramic pipe to convert it into a superconducting pipe. When a supporting tube with a bottom plate is used, the melt is poured into the tube, and the tube is turned over to remove an unsolidified melt, whereby a superconducting ceramic pipe with a bottom is fabricated.

    Abstract: An improved method of producing an optical fiber with a low transmission loss for use in an optical communication system. The method comprises a chemical vapor deposition process wherein starting materials in gas phase are oxidized to form a soot on a glass substrate, and the soot which deposits on the substrate is vitrified in an atmosphere of an inert gas which is easily dissolved in the vitrified glass. A preferable soot contains silicon dioxide, a first dopant for effecting an increase of the refraction index of the silicon dioxide and a second dopant for effecting a reduction of the vitrification temperature of the soot.
