  • Patent number: 11519600
Abstract: A solid fuel burner is provided with a guide member arranged on an outer circumferential section of a distal end of a first gas nozzle so as to guide a fluid flowing through a second flow passage outward in a radial direction; and a contraction forming member that is arranged on an upstream side of the guide member with respect to the flow direction of the second flow passage so as to reduce the cross sectional area of the second flow passage. An outer diameter of the guide member is formed to be smaller than an inner diameter of an outer peripheral wall of a second gas nozzle. The first gas nozzle, the guide member, and the contraction forming member are configured so as to be integrally attachable/detachable along an axial direction of the first gas nozzle toward the outside of a furnace.

  • Patent number: 8667912
Abstract: In a burner for highly caking coal in which a solid fuel channel that is attached penetrating through a surrounding wall of a gasifier for gasifying a highly caking solid fuel that has been pulverized into particles and that supplies the solid fuel into the gasifier by gas flow transportation, and a gasifying agent channel that supplies a gasifying agent into the gasifier are provided, a blockage detection unit that detects a blockage situation of the solid fuel channel is provided, and a process for reducing the temperature of the solid fuel is performed when the blockage detection unit detects a predetermined blockage situation.

  • Patent number: 8607716
Abstract: In a burner for highly caking coal in which a solid fuel channel and a gasifying agent channel are provided in a double pipe structure, the temperature increase of the particles of a highly caking solid fuel and the resulting fusion and expansion of the particles are prevented or suppressed, thereby enabling a stable operation of the gasifier. In a burner for highly caking coal in which a solid fuel channel that is attached for gasifying a highly caking solid fuel that has been pulverized into particles and that supplies the solid fuel into the gasifier, and a gasifying agent channel that supplies a gasifying agent into the gasifier are provided in a double pipe structure, the burner has a triple pipe structure including a cooling water channel that circulates cooling water between the solid fuel channel and the gasifying agent channel, and the cooling water is recovered after use.

  • Publication number: 20130092062
Abstract: A combustion system capable of decreasing nitrogen oxide discharged from exhaust gas is provided. The combustion system includes: a combustion furnace (2) having a burner unit (2a) for supplying fuel and combustion oxygen to the inside of the furnace, a reduction zone formed on a downstream side of the burner unit (2a) for combusting the fuel, and a combustion oxygen supply port (2b) for supplying combustion oxygen (21) so that unburned fuel which has passed the reduction zone completely combusts; and a smoke removal device (9) for removing smoke in the exhaust gas discharged from the combustion furnace (2). Part of exhaust gas (22) diverging from between the combustion furnace (2) and the smoke removal device (9) is introduced to the burner unit (2a), while part of exhaust gas (23) diverging from a downstream side of the smoke removal device (9) is introduced to the combustion oxygen supply port (2b).

  • Patent number: 6645442
Abstract: The present invention provides a method for producing methanol making use of biomass material, which method is capable of making effective use of produced carbon monoxide without deteriorating efficiency of methanol production. The invention also provides an apparatus for producing methanol. In the method for producing methanol making use of biomass material including gasifying biomass to produce a gas and producing methanol from the produced gas, water is electrolyzed by means of a water electrolysis unit operated by electric power generated from a sunlight power-generation unit or a wind power-generation unit, and hydrogen gas generated through electrolysis of the water is supplied to the raw material gas such that the amount of hydrogen is adjusted to at least twice the amount of carbon monoxide contained in the produced gas, to thereby produce methanol in a methanol synthesis column.
