  • Publication number: 20160036163
Abstract: A connector is mateable with a mating connector which has a mating lock portion. The connector comprises a first housing, a second housing and a contact. The first housing accommodates, at least in part, the contact. The contact is provided with a cable holding portion which holds an end of a cable so that the cable extends in a predetermined direction. The second housing is attached to the first housing to hold the contact in cooperation with the first housing. The second housing is provided with a hooked portion, a spring portion, an operation portion and a lock portion. The spring portion is resiliently deformable. The operation portion and the lock portion are supported by the spring portion. The lock portion locks the mating lock portion when the connector and the mating connector are mated with each other. The hooked portion is a portion which is hooked by a finger upon operation of the operation portion. The hooked portion is positioned apart from the operation portion in the predetermined direction.

  • Patent number: 9236698
Abstract: A contact comprises a pair of conductive members and a biasing member attached between the pair of conductive members and biasing the pair of conductive members toward each other. The pair of conductive members each have a base portion and an attaching portion. The base portion of one of the conductive members and the base portion of the other conductive member are disposed spaced apart from each other. At least one of the pair of conductive members has a support portion extending from the base portion toward the other conductive member and abutting against the other conductive member to support the other conductive member.

  • Patent number: 9172168
Abstract: A connector is provided with a first housing, a second housing attached to the first housing and forming a contact receiving portion jointly with the first housing, and a contact at least partially received in the contact receiving portion. The second housing is attached to the first housing so as to be movable in a predetermined direction relative to the first housing. The contact is received in the contact receiving portion in a state where the contact is not fixed to the first housing or the second housing so as to be movable relative to the first housing and the second housing.

  • Patent number: 9124041
Abstract: A connector includes a housing adapted to be fixed to an attaching object, and contacts. The housing has an attaching base portion, a fitting portion disposed more on the front side than the attaching base portion, through-holes formed through a bottom portion of the fitting portion, and layout spaces each communicating with the through-hole and each open to the outside on the side surface side of the housing. Each contact integrally has a first portion and a second portion continuous with the first portion. The through-hole and the layout space have sizes that can allow the contact to be disposed at a predetermined position in the housing by inserting the contact into the housing through the layout space from the side surface of the housing.

  • Publication number: 20140329398
Abstract: A distance between first contact portions is set smaller than a thickness of a first connection object in the state where neither of the first connection object and a second connection object is inserted into a contact. A distance between second contact portions is set greater than a thickness of the second connection object in the state where neither of the first connection object and the second connection object is inserted into the contact. When the first connection object is inserted between the first contact portions, a pair of conductive portions are relatively moved to shorten the distance between the second contact portions so that the second connection object is held between the second contact portions.
