  • Publication number: 20130096778
Abstract: A travel control device for a vehicle has a steered angle varying device 14 or a by-wire type steering device 96 which modifies a relationship of steered angle of steerable wheels to steering operation amount by a driver. When the control device decides that vehicle trajectory control is to be initiated or renewed, it calculates a target steered angle of the steerable wheels for driving the vehicle along a target trajectory which is required for the vehicle to arrive at a target arrival position in a target traveling direction on the basis of steering operation amount by a driver and vehicle speed at a time point of the decision. The control device controls the steered angle of the steerable wheels according to the target steered angle in feed-forward or feed-back manner.

  • Patent number: 8260158
Abstract: A recording sheet processing device includes a stack tray used, when a recording sheet gets jammed inside a subsequent finishing device, for collecting recording sheets left inside a preceding image forming device and recording sheets left inside a recording sheet feeding unit of the image forming device before those recording sheets reach the finishing device. A portion of a conveying path in the recording sheet processing device is opened so that the recording sheet that has jammed at the finishing processing side can freely fall down into a stack tray. Then, a conveying path switching claw is switched to a position for collecting subsequent recording sheets into the stack tray. Thus, subsequent recording sheets are collected in the stack tray without stoppage in conveyance.

  • Patent number: 7957867
Abstract: An electronic control unit reads a side slip angle of a vehicle body. Next, the electronic control unit reads a correction amount entered by a driver. Next, the electronic control unit calculates a target steering angle by subtracting a correction term from a rotation amount of a steering output shaft, which has a predetermined relation with a rotation amount of a steering input shaft, to reduce a lateral force generated in the vehicle due to the side slip angle of the vehicle body. Subsequently, the electronic control unit drives and controls an electric motor of a variable-gear-ratio actuator until the rotation amount of the steering output shaft reaches the target steering angle.

  • Patent number: 7810608
Abstract: An electronic control unit inputs a side slip angle ? of a vehicle body. The unit calculates a dynamic zero point ?o for reducing a lateral force generated in the vehicle due to the side slip angle ? of the vehicle body. The unit calculates a steering angle ?a, which is represented by the difference between the dynamic zero point ?o and a steering angle ? detected by a steering angle sensor. The unit calculates a reaction torque Tz having a predetermined relation with the steering angle ?a. The unit drives and controls an electric motor to generate the calculated reaction torque Tz. Thus, the unit guides a driver to a proper steering-wheel rotating direction.
