  • Patent number: 11330126
Abstract: An image reading device includes a tray having a document, first and second rollers, a reading unit to read a document image of the conveyed document at a reading position, and a controller to selectively execute first and second controls. In the first control, the controller changes a drive speed of the first and second rollers from a first to a second speed faster than the first speed after the document reaches the first roller and before the document passes through the reading position, and changes the first and second rollers drive speed from the second to the first speed after the document reaches the second roller and before the image is completely read. In the second control, the controller maintains the first and second rollers drive speed in a section from a position where the document reaches the first roller to a position where the image reading completes.

  • Publication number: 20210237992
Abstract: A sheet feeding device includes a stacking portion, a sheet detecting portion including a movable member, a first sheet feeding roller, a second sheet feeding roller, and a sheet separating member. When the first feeding roller is in a sheet feeding position, with respect to a widthwise direction of the sheet perpendicular to a sheet feeding direction, a contact position where the movable member contacts the sheet is in a region in which the first sheet feeding roller contacts the sheet, as viewed in the sheet feeding direction.

  • Publication number: 20180221815
Abstract: In a system for dehydrating carbon dioxide gas, the carbon dioxide gas is cooled by using a turbo expander (21), and the power extracted by the turbo expander from the carbon dioxide gas is used in the system for compressing the carbon dioxide gas. The cooled carbon dioxide gas is fed to a knock-out drum (22) to remove free water therefrom. The carbon dioxide gas from the separator is introduced to a secondary dehydration unit (11) and recompressed to the required pressure for carbon storage or for EOR operation.

  • Patent number: 9284138
Abstract: The invention includes a swing mechanism contacting/separating a driven discharge roller with/from a driving discharge roller by swinging a support portion rotatably supporting the driven discharge roller. A planetary gear mechanism is provided in a power transmitting route from a driving source to the swing mechanism. The planetary gear mechanism switches the transmission of the driving force to the swing mechanism into a transmission state and a cutoff state by the switching portion.

  • Patent number: 8208511
Abstract: A disclosed surface emitting laser is capable of being manufactured easily, having a higher yield and a longer service lifetime. In the surface emitting laser, a selectively-oxidized layer is included as a part of a low refractive index layer of an upper semiconductor distribution Bragg reflector; the low refractive index layer including the selectively-oxidized layer includes two intermediate layers adjoining the selectively-oxidized layer and two low refractive index layers adjoining the intermediate layers. Al content rate in the intermediate layers is lower than that in the selectively-oxidized layer, and Al content rate in the low refractive index layers is lower than that in the selectively-oxidized layer. This configuration enables providing more control over the thickness and oxidation rate of the oxidized layer, thereby enabling reducing the variation of the thickness of the oxidized layer.

  • Patent number: 6036346
Abstract: A semiconductor manufacturing process simulation apparatus using a diffusion model in which a dislocation loop generated in a crystalline substrate during an ion implantation process of a semiconductor manufacturing process is considered with respect to a diffusion in a heat treatment process subsequent to the ion implantation process. An ion implantation process simulating part simulates an ion implantation process. A model generating part generates a diffusion model in which contribution of dislocation loops is considered, the dislocation loops being formed in the substrate during the ion implantation process. A heat treatment process simulating part simulates a heat treatment process subsequent to the ion implantation process, the diffusion model generated by the model generating part being used for simulating diffusion of impurities in the substrate during the heat treatment process.
