  • Publication number: 20040091210
Abstract: An optical module has first and second optical parts. Each of the optical parts has an optical path extending in a longitudinal direction and an end face intersecting the optical path. The end face of the first optical part faces the end face of the second optical part. Light enters the end face of the second optical part from the end face of the first optical part. An adhesive forms a joint for connecting the end faces of the parts to each other in peripheral portions about the optical paths of the parts.

  • Publication number: 20030173709
Abstract: An intermediate product (50) is formed by combining together a plurality of constituent elements. The intermediate product (50) is arranged in a mold and then molten resin is charged in the mold. An opening (34, 35, 36) is formed so as to correspond to a plus terminal (4), a minus terminal (5), and a temperature detecting terminal (6) in the intermediate product (50), and its periphery is covered with the resin. Whereupon, a thin enclosed outer packaging body is realized that is made compact and offers excellent dust-proof, drip-proof structure. Alternatively, the intermediate product (50) is housed in an outer packaging case (51 to 54) having an open end that allows insertion of the intermediate product (50), and resin is charged in the open end, thereby achieving sealing.

  • Publication number: 20030026540
Abstract: An optical module which satisfies a required insertion loss and can be easily assembled with high productivity. The optical module includes first optical fiber, a first lens, an optical device, a second lens, and second optical fiber. The first lens receives an incident light from the first optical fiber and converts the incident light into a parallel light. The optical device receives the parallel light and performs predetermined optical processing on the parallel light. The second lens receives a transmitted parallel light from the optical device and converge the transmitted parallel light to produce an outgoing light. The second optical fiber receives the outgoing light. An optical axis of the first lens and an optical axis of the second lens are substantially coincident with each other. An optical axis of the first optical fiber and an optical axis of the second optical fiber are substantially parallel with each other and substantially parallel to the optical axes of the first and the second lenses.

  • Publication number: 20030017342
Abstract: An adhesive composition for bonding optical parts comprising (A) 3 to 60 wt % of an epoxysilane or a hydrolysis/polycondensation product thereof, (B) 5 to 90 wt % of a bisphenol type epoxy resin having a viscosity of 2,000 to 5,000 mPa·s, (C) 5 to 35 wt % of a novolak type epoxy resin, 3 to 30 wt % of a curing agent which is an amine, and water and an alcohol in an amount of 0 to 0.75 time the total number of mols of the hydrolyzable groups or atoms of the epoxysilane. This composition has excellent moisture resistance and heat resistance, suppresses the formation of bubbles during curing, is free from such a defect as opaqueness caused by bubbles and can be used for the assembly and bonding of optical parts.

  • Patent number: 4932192
Abstract: An operation device of a walker operated mower is disclosed. When a mowing lever is set to the "connection" side to start a mowing member and a little bit later, when a running operation lever is set to the "connection" side substantially simultaneously while keeping the lever position, a support member which is integral with the running operation lever pushes the back of an engagement member and a rocking tip of the engagement member strikes a projection provided to the mowing operation lever and prevents the return of the mowing operation lever while keeping contact with the projection. Accordingly, even if the mowing operation member is kept in the "connection" position, the moving operation lever retain the "connection" state. Therefore, the running operation lever can be kept in the "connection" position by one of the hands and the other portions can be operated freely by the other hand.
