  • Publication number: 20020014073
Abstract: A stator support structure of a torque converter is configured to reduce the number of parts and an axial size of the stator support structure. The stator support structure has a first support member 5, a second support member 7 and a one-way clutch body 8. The first support member 5 has a first annular flange 11 extending radially outward and a first thrust receiving portion 13. The second support member 7 has a second annular flange 15 formed of an inner peripheral portion of the stator extending radially inward and opposed to the first annular flange 11, and a second thrust receiving portion 17 being in contact with the first thrust receiving portion 13. The one-way clutch body 8 is disposed between the first and second annular flanges 11 and 15, and is subjected to an axial load in a locked state for inhibiting rotation of the stator only in one direction.

  • Patent number: 6172253
Abstract: A process for recycling a silicone compound wherein the silicone compound is decomposed by employing an alkyl carbonate and a compound containing active hydrogen group in the presence of a catalyst, and silicone monomers and/or silicone oligomers are recovered from the decomposed silicone compound. Silicone monomers and/or silicone oligomers are produced without producing any byproduct, and no step for removal by separation is needed in an after process, and therefore the implementation is easy.

  • Patent number: 6003311
Abstract: A stator blade 13 has a blade tip 14, a blade trailing edge 15, a back 16 and a face 17. The blade tip 14 is an edge of the peripheral surface of the stator blade 13 near the turbine. The blade trailing edge 15 is an edge of the peripheral surface of the stator blade 13 near the impeller. The back 16 is a portion of the peripheral surface of the stator blade 13 extending between the blade tip 14 and the blade trailing edge 15 and opposed to the impeller 4, and has a streamline section. The face 17 is a portion of the peripheral surface of the stator blade 13 extending between the blade tip 14 and the blade trailing edge 15 and opposed to the turbine 5, and is formed of a streamline portion 17a and a plane portion 17b located near the blade tip 14. The shape of the stator blade 13 is such that a capacity coefficient (Cf) of a torque converter is lower when a speed ratio (e) is 0, and thereby improving fuel consumption during idling.

  • Patent number: 5437192
Abstract: A physical property measuring device for measurement of physical properties of a test sample piece in the form of a flexible sheet-like material is provided. The test sample piece is fed to a measuring zone of the device while being interposedly held at a whole upper end thereof between transfer arms so as to be kept hanging, to thereby minimize or substantially prevent application of any unnecessary external force thereto during transferring. In the measuring zone, the test sample piece is kept interposedly held at upper and lower portions thereof between upper clamp arms of an upper clamp mechanism and between lower clamp arms of a lower clamp mechanism and the upper and lower clamp mechanisms are actuated relative to each other to carry out measurement of desired physical properties.
