Abstract: A sheet feeding device includes: a tip end holding portion configured to hold a tip end of the fed sheet at a first position on the downstream side in the sheet feeding direction in relation to a separation portion; a guide portion configured to guide the sheet; a movement unit configured to move the tip end holding portion and the guide portion between the first position and a second position closer to a feeding portion in relation to the first position; a release portion configured to release the sheet held by the tip end holding portion when the tip end holding portion moves from the first position to the second position; and a conveying portion configured to convey the sheet released from the tip end holding portion at the second position and convey the sheet in an area near the feeding portion in relation to the first position.

Abstract: An image forming apparatus in which as image is formed by utilizing a plurality of longitudinally arranged recording electrodes to which voltages for forming the image are applied and a movable endless recording medium arranged in confronting relation to the recording electrodes and by supplying toner between the recording electrodes and the recording medium. By preventing the toner in the vicinity of the recording electrodes from being compressed abruptly by the provision of a guide, the image quality is improved.

Abstract: An image forming apparatus forms a record image with developer on a recording medium by supplying the developer between a plurality of recording electrodes and the recording medium disposed in confronting relation to the recording electrodes and by applying a signal voltage to the recording electrodes in response to image information. The image forming apparatus improves the image quality and simplifies the apparatus by providing a prevention means disposed proximate the recording electrodes and downstream thereof in a developer moving direction, for preventing the developer from shifting.

Abstract: The present invention is related to a sheet member feeding apparatus for feeding a sheet member such as an envelope. The feeding apparatus has a pair of opposed contacted rotary members such as rollers and comprising a releasing member for releasing the contact between the rotary members provided on at least one of the rotary members in areas where front corners of the sheet member pass through. The feeding apparatus is applicable to a printing system, reader system and the like.

Abstract: A sheet feeding apparatus of the invention comprises a conveying belt which is driven in such a direction as to send sheets, a belt or the like which is driven in the direction opposite to the belt conveying direction so as to apply a predetermined resistance force to the feeding of the sheets, and a frictional member adapted to be come into pressure contact with the conveying belt through the sheets. With the apparatus, the sheets can be certainly separated one by one irrespective of the material and thickness of the sheet.

Abstract: A sheet obliquely conveying apparatus is provided with a pair of sheet conveying rollers including a forwardly and reversely rotatable drive roller and a follower roller rotatable in contact with the drive roller, and bearing structure for rotatably supporting the shaft of the follower roller. The dimension of the bearing portion of the bearing structure which supports one end of the shaft of the follower roller is greater generally along the direction of conveyance of a sheet material than the dimension of the bearing portion of the bearing structure which supports the other end of the shaft of the follower roller. The apparatus is further provided with a resilient device generally parallel to the direction of conveyance of the sheet material for pressing the shaft of the follower roller.
