  • Patent number: 8456712
Abstract: In one embodiment, image reading apparatuses 100a and 100b start reading an original image after a reading start time Ta has elapsed since detecting the transport timing of an original G on the upstream side in a transport direction Y1 relative to an original reading position R1, adjust the reading start time Ta based on a reading timing adjustment time T1a from when the transport timing of an adjustment sheet P is detected until when original reading portions 200a and 200b read a position considered to be a leading edge P? in a first mark Q1 on the adjustment sheet P, and correct the reading start timing of the original G based on a leading edge reading error correction time T2a stored in advance.

  • Publication number: 20080140236
Abstract: There are provided a musical composition reproducing apparatus and a musical composition reproducing method by which musical composition data can be reproduced without boring a user. The musical composition reproducing apparatus acquires a musical composition feature value indicating respective feature of a plurality of musical composition data recorded on a recording means, judges according to the musical composition feature value of musical composition thus acquired whether or not each musical composition data has a predetermined musical mood, and registers the musical compositions judged to have the musical mood in a reproduction list corresponding to the musical mood while arranging the musical composition data in a predetermined reproducing order.

  • Patent number: 6631210
Abstract: An image-processing apparatus, as well as an image-processing method, is provided with a first inspection circuit which, with respect to density values of pixels within a specific area consisting of a target pixel and pixels in a vicinity thereof in image data for each color component, calculates an average density value, the sum of density differences, that is, the sum of absolute values of differences between the target pixel and the peripheral pixels, and the number the peripheral pixels having the same density value as the target pixel, so that a judgement is made as to whether the target pixel is a maximum value or a minimum value, and also calculates a run-length and the degree of busy from the pixel forming the maximum value or the minimum value.

  • Patent number: 6606465
Abstract: When any of the functions: copier function, printer function and facsimile function, are not being performed, the function information display portion provides display messages ‘Copier available’, ‘Printer available’ and Fax available’, using the display areas equal in size, arranged in the vertical direction. When a print request is given from an external apparatus, the function information display portion provides a display message ‘Printer function engaged’ along with the image processing operating conditions and provides display messages ‘Copier function partly available’ and ‘Facsimile function partly available’ in the left and right halves of the display section. While the printer function is in progress, the information relating to the printer function is displayed in the display area four times as large as that for the copier function and that for the facsimile function.
