  • Patent number: 5978246
Abstract: It is an object of the invention provide a content addressable memory, which operates at high speed and consumes low electrical power. The first CAM cell array, which is supplied with higher m bits of reference data, is composed of m CAM cells connected in series for each word, compares previously stored data of m bits with higher m bits of reference data in bit serial for each word. The first sense amplifier detects the result of comparison. The second CAM cell array, which is supplied with lower n-m bits of the reference data, is composed of n-m CAM cells connected in parallel for each word, made to be in operating condition only in case that the output of the first sense amplifier shows coincidence, and compares previously stored data of n-m bits with lower n-m bits of the reference data in bit parallel for each word. The second sense amplifier detects the result of comparison.

  • Patent number: 5973950
Abstract: The present invention provides a priority encoder having at least a unit circuitry of at least three hierarchies. A lowermost level hierarchy has a plurality of lowermost level encoder circuits receiving a plurality of input signals with individually different priorities for encoding the input signals and outputting encoded output signals. The lowermost level encoder circuits are operated to output enable signals which indicate existence of signals to be coded into address signals in the input signals. An intermediate level hierarchy has a plurality of multiplexer circuits connected to the lowermost level encoder circuits for receiving the encoded output signals and the enable signals so that the multiplexer circuits are configuared to output only and encoded signal which has a highest priority in the encoded output signals to be corded into address signals.

  • Patent number: 5933363
Abstract: In order to provide an associative memory having a low power consumption, for which data reading/writing can be performed and for which the operational speed is not decreased even during the forming of a large word, a memory cell array of b bits.times.w words is constituted by m.times.b columns and w/m rows (where m is an integer of 2 or greater). Provided are m data match signal lines for each row in the memory cell array, and in the same row of the memory cell arrays for individual bits, m memory cells are connected to m different data match signal lines. A bit line pair used for transmitting information to a memory circuit is separated from a data search line pair used for transmitting information to a comparator. The data search line is disposed on either side of a memory cell, so that adjacent memory cells for each bit in the same row of the memory cell can employ in common one of the data search line pairs located between their memory cells.

  • Patent number: 5049447
Abstract: Disclosed is a polyethylene terephthalate untwisted multifilament which satisfies the following requirements (A), (B), (C) and (D);(A) the intrinsic viscosity [IV] is 0.97 to 1.15;(B) the amorphous orientation function [fa] is not larger than 0.55;(C) the tenacity [T] (g/d), the shrinkage [.DELTA.S] (%) as measured after standing in dry air at 150.degree. C. for 30 minutes, the medium elongation [ME] (%) under a load of 4.5 g/d, and the dimensional stability index [Y] expressed by the formula: Y=ME.sup.0.81 +.DELTA.S+1.32 are within ranges defined by the following formulae (a), (b), (c), (d) and (e):0.33Y+5.55.ltoreq.T.ltoreq.0.33Y+6.50 (a),8.0.ltoreq.T.ltoreq.9.5 (b),8.5.ltoreq.Y.ltoreq.10.5 (c),5.ltoreq.ME.ltoreq.10 (d),and2.ltoreq..DELTA.S.ltoreq.g (e);and (d) the elongation at break is at least 11% and the product of the tenacity and elongation, which is defined by: ##EQU1## is 30 to 36.

  • Patent number: 4923761
Abstract: The invention is related to a bearing material having multiple layers therein and a method for manufacturing the same. The invention features that a bearing layer consisting mainly of an integrated resin powder is formed on a porous layer covering a back metal, such as a steel plate of like, that the integrated resin powder consists of P T F E resin precipitate and F E P resin precipitate and/or P F A resin precipitate and that each particle of the integrated resin powder is covered with Pb-Sn alloy powders.Accordingly, the integrated resin powder independently provides a predetermined lubricating property. In addition, since these resin precipitates are in unity, it is possible to maintain excellent cavitation resistance property and load resistance property, even under severe boundary conditions.Furthermore, since each of the integrated resin powder is covered with the Pb-Sn alloy powder, an uniform and deep penetration of the alloy powder into pores of the porous layer can be easily obtained.
