  • Patent number: 5622909
Abstract: A thermosensitive recording material of this invention has a support, on which a thermosensitive color developing layer mainly composed of a leuco dye and a color developer which is contacted with the leuco dye while heating to develop a color and a protective layer mainly composed of polyvinyl alcohol together with either aziridine compound or dimethylolurea are successively provided, the color developer being at least one of phthalic acid derivatives represented by the following general formula (I): ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1, X, Y and 1 are as defined in above. The thermosensitive recording material of this invention is excellent in sensitivity and density of the color development and has the high storage stability of the recorded images. Accordingly, the thermosensitive recording material of this invention is very useful. The selected inorganic filler may be incorporated in the thermosensitive color developing layer and/or the protective layer.

  • Patent number: 5352527
Abstract: A thermal image transfer recording medium, containing a support, a thermal image transfer ink layer formed on the support, and a heat-resistant protective layer formed on the back side of the support, opposite to the thermal image transfer ink layer with respect to the support, the heat-resistant protective layer having a tensile strength effective to prevent the protective layer from adhering to a thermal head and to prevent loss of flexibility of the protective layer, the heat-resistant protective layer, containing an amount of each of (i) an amino-modified polysiloxane, (ii) a polyisocyanate and (iii) a reaction product of the amino-modified polysiloxane and the polyisocyanate effective for obtaining the tensile strength in the heat-resistant protective layer.

  • Patent number: 5328754
Abstract: A thermosensitive image transfer ink sheet is composed of a support and a thermofusible coloring layer formed on the support, which contains a coloring agent, an epoxy resin, a mercapto-group-containing compound serving as an epoxy resin crosslinking agent, and a tertiary amine or a salt thereof serving as a crosslinking reaction promoting agent. A thermal image transfer recording material is composed of a thermosensitive image transfer ink sheet, and an image receiving sheet to which images are to be transferred from the thermosensitive image transfer ink sheet.
