Abstract: Back panel assembly 100 consisting of back panel 110, first header connectors 80 mounted on one side 112 of the back panel 110, and second header connectors 120 mounted on the other side 114. Due to the fact that the lengthwise edges of the pin header 124 of the second header connectors 120 fit into the spaces 82,84 of the header connectors 80, it is possible to increase connector density. Since the side wall unit 60 can be removed from the base unit 40, press-fit pins 22 can be easily replaced. The side wall unit 60 may be floatably mounted to base unit 40.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a small-size press-fit connecting pin which can be press-fitted and connected in the through-hole of a circuit board by means of a low insertion force, and an electronic device using this press-fit connecting pin. The press-fit connecting pin (10) has a shaft portion with a diameter of approximately 0.4 mm, and has a first section (42) and second section (43) (along the length of the shaft portion) whose length is less than the thickness of the circuit board (100) in which the through-hole (101) is formed. Projecting strips (45, 46) which run in the direction of length are formed on the outer surfaces of the respective sections (42 and 43). The projecting strips (45 and 46) formed on the first section (42) and second section (43) are formed in mutually different angular positions.

Abstract: The assembly of contacts for printed circuit boards 1, 1a consists of contacts 2, 2' and a housing 4, 4' fabricated by insert molding method. The mounting sections 8, 8' have lugs which fit into openings made in pads of the printed circuit board 50 in a staggered pattern. The printed circuit board assembly 70 consists of the printed circuit board 50 with contact assemblies 1, 1a attached to the bottom edge 56 and front edge 62 by surface mounting technique.

Abstract: A multiple contact electrical connector for transmission of electrical signals therethrough comprises first and second matable connectors (1,2) each including signal contacts (5,5') and ground contacts (6,6') secured in dielectric housings (3,3') and arranged in a two-dimensional manner therein. The signal contacts (5,5') and the ground contacts (6,6') are arranged in the housings (3,3') in rows spaced at regular intervals with the ground contacts being shifted half a pitch relative to the signal contacts so that when the matable connectors are mated together, the engaged signal contacts (5,5') are surrounded by the engaged ground contacts (6,6').

Abstract: An electrical terminal for connecting a power supply section (35) to a circuit board (50) which requires no tools and utilizes minimal space on the circuit board (50). The terminal having mounting pins (14) which frictionally and electrically engage holes (30 in the circuit board (50) and a contact portion (18) which resiliently contact the power supply section (35), thereby effecting a positive electrical connection between the power supply section (35) and the circuit board (50).
