  • Publication number: 20220264936
Abstract: A tipping wrapper for aerosol generating articles has a base layer with a porosity of less than 1.5 C.U., wherein the base layer contains at least one filler material, the tipping wrapper further including a surface which is pigmented with a pigment component which contains CaCO3 and at least a second component serving as a non-combustible filler, the pigment component having a grammage of at least 2.0 gsm, wherein the pigmented surface has a surface smoothness of at least 400 sec. A method for producing a tipping wrapper for cigarettes includes providing a base layer of the tipping wrapper, and coating the base layer with a solution containing a filler component, wherein the coated base layer is pressed and heated at a predefined temperature which is greater than 100° C.

  • Publication number: 20220232883
Abstract: A cigarette has a tipping wrapper connecting a mouthpiece rod and a tobacco rod, wherein the mouthpiece rod and the tobacco rod each have a cylindrical shape with a respective longitudinal axis arranged as a surface normal of the base area of the respective cylindrical shape, wherein the tipping wrapper is circumferentially wrapped around the mouthpiece rod and the tobacco rod at least in part along their consecutively arranged longitudinal axes, has an inner surface directed towards the mouthpiece rod and tobacco rod and an oppositely arranged outer surface and includes at least wood pulp. The tipping wrapper further includes at least 20% of clay and/or Al(OH)3, has a porosity equal to or less than 5.0 C.U. and a surface smoothness of more than 100 sec (Bekk) on the outer surface.
