    Abstract: A liquid crystal display device includes: a protective film; a polarizing plate; a liquid crystal cell for display; and a backlight, in this order, wherein the protective film is an antiglare optical film including a transparent substrate and at least one antiglare layer and having a concavo-convex shape on a surface of the antiglare optical film, and an integrated frequency value of tilted plane components having tilt angles between a normal line of the transparent substrate and a normal line of the concavo-convex shape on a surface of the antiglare optical film ranging from 0.05 to 0.25° is from 10 to 25% while an integrated frequency value of tilted plane components having the tilt angles ranging from 1.5 to 2.5° is from 10 to 25%.
