  • Publication number: 20150111442
Abstract: A terminal-provided wire (10) includes a wire (11) formed by covering a core (12) with an insulation coating (13), a terminal (20) to be connected to the core (12) exposed at an end of the wire (10), and a shrinkable tube (28) for sealing a wire connecting portion (25) formed by connecting the exposed core (11) and the terminal (20). An inclined surface (12A) for making a thickness of the core (12) smaller toward the tip of the core (12) is formed by welding on a part of the exposed core (12) before the wire connecting portion (25).

  • Patent number: 8992244
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a terminal fitting with improved waterproof property. A terminal fitting (10) includes a box-shaped main portion (21), barrel portions (22, 23) to be crimped and connected to a core (91) at an end portion of a wire (90), a waterproof wall (60) to be mounted between the barrel portions (22, 23) and the main portion (21) to partition between them in a liquid-tight manner, a restricting portion (25) configured to restrict a movement of the waterproof wall (60) toward the main portion (21) by coming into contact with the waterproof wall (60) from the main portion (21) side and a heat shrinkable tube (70) to be held in close contact with the barrel portions (22, 23) and the waterproof wall (60) while surrounding the core (91).

  • Patent number: 8628363
Abstract: A crimped electric wire with a terminal, includes: an electric wire having a core wire made of aluminum or aluminum alloy; and a terminal fitting having an electric wire crimping section for crimping the core wire partly exposed from the electric wire, wherein: a value obtained by dividing the height of the electric wire crimping section by the width of the electric wire crimping section after the crimping of the electric wire crimping section is set to 0.5 or more and 0.6 or less; and the value obtained by dividing the gross cross-sectional area of the core wire after the crimping of the electric wire crimping section by the gross cross-sectional area of the core wire before the crimping of the electric wire crimping section is set to 55% or more and 65% or less.

  • Patent number: 8303354
Abstract: A wire barrel to be crimped onto an end of an electric wire has a surface on a side to face the electric wire. The surface has a plurality of recesses that extend in a direction that is to cross the axial direction of the electric wire and are separated from each other in the direction that is to cross the axial direction of the electric wire. The wire barrel has a thickness in a range from 0.15 mm to 1 mm before being crimped to the electric wire. Each recess has a depth in a range from 30% to 60% of the thickness of the wire barrel before the wire barrel is crimped onto the electric wire.
