  • Patent number: 6593521
Abstract: This invention is a power converter integrated solar cell module having a power converter mounted on the rear surface of a solar cell module. This solar cell module has a structure by which the power converter is attached to a low-temperature portion on the solar cell module rear surface.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 29, 2001
Date of Patent: July 15, 2003
    Assignee: Canon Kabushiki Kaisha
    Inventor: Takuma Kobayashi
  • Publication number: 20030063008
Abstract: In the present invention, the temperature of a bypass diode of a solar cell module is measured by a temperature detection means from the exterior of the solar cell module, and the results of temperature detection on each bypass diode are mutually compared to detect the presence or absence of the failure in the solar cell module. Also at least one solar cell in the solar cell module is covered with a light shielding plate, then a current flowing in the bypass diode bypassing to the covered solar cell is detected, and a failed solar cell module is detected from the result of the current detection. Also the solar cell module is provided with a temperature detection means capable of detecting the temperature of the bypass diode and the temperature of an internal portion of the solar cell module other than the bypass diode. By these, it is rendered possible to detect a failure in the solar cell module easily and exactly, and also to detect the short circuit failure in the solar cell.

  • Patent number: 5178952
Abstract: A radiation curable resin having at least two (meth)acryloyl groups at both terminal ends of a molecular chain which is obtained by reaction of (1) a polyester polyol and/or polycarbonate polyol, (2) a diisocyanate, (3) a polyfunctional (meth)acrylate containing a hydroxyl group therein, and optionally (4) a compound having at least two active hydrogens in the molecule is disclosed. The resin has at least two (meth)acryloyl groups at a terminal end of the molecular chain. The molecular weight of the resin is 1,000 to 50,000, the urethane bonding concentration is not more than 3,000 equivalent/10.sup.6 g and the (meth)acryloyl group concentration is 100 to 6,000 equivalent/10.sup.6 g. A radiation curable resin composition containing the resin and a precoated metal using the composition are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 4680345
Abstract: An improvement in a process for producing an elastic polyester wherein a crystalline aromatic polyester and one or plurality of lactones are reacted, the improvement comprises by carrying out the reaction in a continuous process by continuously feeding the molten crystalline aromatic polyester and the lactones to a reaction vessel to subject them to addition polymerization, while continuously discharging a reaction mixture from the vessel to obtain the elastic polyester. Optionally, the reaction mixture can be further subjected to polycondensation in a molten state or a solid phase.
