  • Publication number: 20240149550
Abstract: The purpose of the present invention is to provide a sandwich structure that achieves both excellent heat radiation and excellent mechanical characteristics. To this end, the sandwich structure according to the present invention has the following configuration. That is, the sandwich structure has a core material (I) and fiber-reinforced materials (II) arranged on both surfaces of the core material (I), wherein at least one of the fiber-reinforced materials (II) includes a sheet-shaped heat conduction material (III) having an in-plane heat conduction ratio of 300 W/m·K or more.

  • Publication number: 20240125333
Abstract: A suction pipe 200 of a centrifugal compressor 20, the centrifugal compressor 20 having a suction port 22 that is open to direct the working fluid to an impeller 21, the suction pipe 200 including a first opening portion 31 to be directly or indirectly connected to the suction port 22 and a second opening portion 32 positioned upstream from the first opening portion 31 in the flow direction of the working fluid. The second opening portion 32 is positioned below the first opening portion 31 in the vertical direction. The first opening portion 31 and the second opening portion 32 are open toward the same direction.

  • Publication number: 20240068382
Abstract: A rotary machine 100 includes a bearing 10, a rotary shaft 20, a turbine wheel 30, a turbine nozzle 31, and a first cavity 40. The bearing 10 has a first end face 10a and a second end face 10b each positioned in the axial direction of the rotary shaft 20. The distance from the first end face 10a to the turbine wheel 30 is shorter than the distance from the second end face 10b to the turbine wheel 30. The first cavity 40 is positioned, in the axial direction of the rotary shaft 20, between a back surface 31b of the turbine nozzle 31 and the second end face 10b of the bearing 10 or between the back surface 31b of the turbine nozzle 31 and a space 11 that the second end face 10b of the bearing 10 faces. The first cavity 40 is present in the zone overlapping with the turbine nozzle 31 in a radial direction of the rotary shaft 20.

  • Patent number: 5876270
Abstract: There is disclosed a method and apparatus for polishing a surface of a magnetic recording medium in which a magnetic layer surface of a magnetic tape is brought into contact with a polishing tape which is wound on a contact roll and travelled, and the magnetic tape and the polishing tape are travelled in opposite directions to polish the magnetic layer surface of the magnetic tape. In this invention, in surface polishing, a curvature of the contact roll at a position where the magnetic tape is brought into contact with the polishing tape at first is set to be 0.1 to 10 mm. In order to set the curvature of the contact roll at the position where the magnetic tape is brought into contact with the polishing tape at first to be 0.1 to 10 mm, for example, the curvature of the contact roll is continuously changed.

  • Patent number: 5669804
Abstract: In a magnetic tape surface treatment method and apparatus for rubbing together a magnetic tape and a lapping tape and thereby removing projections and adhered matter from the magnetic surface to the magnetic tape pressurized air is blown onto the tapes to prevent the formation of an air film between the contacting surfaces of the two tapes. This enhances the contact quality and improves the surface treatment efficiency. Also uniformity of the surface treatment effect is enhanced by simultaneously controlling the tensions in the magnetic tape before and after the two tapes make contact.
