  • Publication number: 20200024123
Abstract: This liquid handling apparatus has a single introduction part that opens on a first surface side of a substrate and is for introducing a liquid, a plurality of discharge parts that open on the first surface side of the substrate and are for discharging the liquid that has been introduced through the single introduction part, a flow path for connecting the single introduction part and the plurality of discharge parts within the substrate, and a plurality of outflow prevention parts that are disposed so as to surround the openings of the plurality of discharge parts and are for using the surface tension of the liquid to check the progress of the outflow of the liquid from the discharge parts. For each opening part, there are two or more outflow prevention parts disposed so as to surround the opening part.

  • Patent number: 7415860
Abstract: An upper mold member 32 having an upstream upper punch 32a, an upper recess portion 32b and a downstream upper punch 32c that are serially arranged, from a feed upstream side of a sheet material W and a lower mold member 24 having an upstream lower punch 24a, a lower recess portion 24b and a downstream lower punch 24c that are serially arranged from the feed upstream side of the sheet material W are caused to displace towards a feed downstream side of the sheet material W while the upper mold member 32 and the lower mold member 24 sandwich the sheet material W between them. The productivity of a press apparatus can be improved and the cost can be reduced.

  • Publication number: 20070029073
Abstract: An offset-shaped fin 4 can be continuously processed by roll molding by a method involving a first step of bending a flat sheet-like material 40A into a concavo-convex shape by a pair of first rollers 5, 5? to form a corrugate sheet 40B; a second step of cutting slopes of the concavo-convex ridges of the corrugate sheet by a pair of second rollers; and a third step of bending the offset portion, offset and cut in the second step, by a pair of third rollers. A pitch-changing method of offset-shaped fins involves a step of supplying offset-shaped fins between at least one pair of pitch-changing rollers rotating while meshing with the other so that at least one pair of pitch-changing rollers clamp the offset-shaped fins between them, allow them to pass through said pitch-changing rollers and change their pitch.

  • Patent number: 7086153
Abstract: Distortion of the cross-sectional shape of a tube when producing a heat exchanger tube by cutting a continuous tube is prevented by forming cutting grooves in a strip material in advance by an upper and bottom cutter. The two side edges of the strip shaped member where stress will concentrate in the next tube forming step, the parts strongly bent, etc. are made thick, while the parts forming the belly surfaces of the tubes are made thin. At least four rollers are divided into two groups and arranged in a zigzag configuration. The continuous tube receives bending force in the forward and reverse directions between the group of rollers and is easily broken at the cutting grooves.

  • Patent number: 6904677
Abstract: In a method of manufacturing a tube that has a plurality of projections (dimples) protruding inwardly from an inside wall of the tube other than a longitudinal end, a work, which is a material of the tube and in a form of band plate, is shaped by a roller to form projections while the work is continuously fed. Then, the projections formed at a predetermined portion of the work are crushed so that the predetermined portion of the work is flattened. Therefore, the projections are formed continuously while the work is continuously fed. It is possible to deal with variations of length of the tube without exchanging a projection-forming roller, thereby improving productivity.

  • Patent number: 6325141
Abstract: A plurality of first projections 113a are provided in a first side wall portion 111a of a grooved section 111 formed by bending part of a sheet-like workpiece to have a U-shaped cross-section, which projections extend away from a connecting portion (top) 111c. Since the first side wall portion 111a deforms to widen a groove width of the grooved section 111 due to spring-back, a tip end of the first projection 113a is first brought into contact with the inner wall 110a. Therefore, a reaction force against the compressive force is applied to the tip end of the first projection during the pre-assembly process. Since the tip end of the first projection 113a is not movable due to the contact with the inner wall 110a, a bending moment is applied to the first side wall portion 111a and the connecting portion 111c to reduce the groove width.

  • Patent number: 6119568
Abstract: In order to achieve speed up of the piercing operation to form elongated forms in a thin sheet whose length is greater than the thickness and width thereof, a piercing apparatus is provided with an upper roller die having a first cutter roller held between press rollers so that the first cutter roller protrudes at the outer peripheral portion thereof, from the outer peripheral surfaces of the press rollers, a lower roller die having recesses between two second cutter rollers and engaging with the outer peripheral portion of the first cutter roller. The thin sheet is continuously fed in the lengthwise direction thereof into the engagement portion between the upper and lower dies. When a sliding cutter is engaged in the recesses formed on the first cutter roller, the thin sheet passing through the engagement portion is cut to form elongated holes.
