  • Patent number: 8871413
Abstract: An object of the invention is to provide a toner which is effective in improving image quality while inhibiting white-background fouling, residual-image phenomenon (ghost), blurring (suitability for solid printing), and the like that occur depending on the proportion of a fine powder having a particle diameter not larger than a specific value, and which has satisfactory removability in cleaning, mitigates problems concerning fouling, etc. in long-term use even on a high-speed printer, and attains excellent image stability. Another object is to provide an image-forming apparatus and a toner cartridge each employing the toner. The invention provides a toner for electrostatic-image development satisfying all of the following (1) to (4) or a toner for electrostatic-image development which is a toner containing a charge control agent and satisfying all of the following (5) to (7). The invention further provides an image-forming apparatus and a toner cartridge each employing the toner.

  • Patent number: 5476741
Abstract: A toner for heat fixing comprising a styrene type resin and a colorant and satisfying the following formula:A.ltoreq.900 ppm and B.gtoreq.80%, orA.ltoreq.650 ppm and B.gtoreq.70%wherein A is a quantity of volatile components of the toner to be measured by a head space method, and B is a percentage of raw material monomers and solvents to be used in production of a binder resin in the quantity of the volatile components.

  • Patent number: 5432037
Abstract: Disclosed herein are an image-forming process which comprises steps of:uniformly charging a latent image carrier by a charging member disposed in contact with or in close vicinity to the latent image carrier, forming a latent image pattern on the latent image carrier by exposure, developing the formed latent image pattern with a developer composed of image-developing particles and conductive particles having an average particle size of smaller than that of said image-developing particles, thereby transferring at least said image-developing particles in the developer to the latent image carrier, andtransferring the image-developing particles transferred to the latent image carrier, to a transfer material; a developer for use in the image-forming process; and an image-forming system.

  • Patent number: 5370957
Abstract: Disclosed herein are an electrostatic developer comprising image-forming particles which are magnetic, conductive particles having an average particle size of not more than that of the image-forming particles and more than 0.1 .mu.m, and particles obtainable by subjecting insulative inorganic oxide particles having a frictional charging polarity opposite to that of the image-forming particles to a hydrophobic treatment with silicone; and an electrostatic developing method in which the developer is used.
