    Abstract: A millimeter band transmitter transmits one or more indirect path signal waves from the main lobe of a transmit antenna, and a direct path signal wave is transmitted in a side lobe of the transmit antenna. A receiver simultaneously receives each of the indirect and direct path signal waves if the receive antenna is unobstructed. If the direct line of sight path between the transmitter and receiver is blocked, the receiver only receives one or more of the indirect path signal waves.

    Abstract: In order to receive satellite broadcasting (BS and CS) and terrestrial broadcasting (VHF and UHF), complicated wiring is required in a personal residence for transmitting broadcasting signals to a plurality of TV receivers while new distributors must be additionally set for installing additional TV receivers in a condominium previously provided with distributors limiting the number of settable TV receivers. The inventive millimeter wave communication system forms power supply paths by simply connecting a BS/CS antenna with a millimeter wave transmitter and connecting an electronic apparatus such as a TV receiver with a millimeter wave receiver through connectors or the like while transmitting/receiving broadcasting signals by millimeter wave radio communication without employing wires such as coaxial cables indoors.

    Abstract: An electronic program guide display control apparatus creates and displays an electronic program chart by integrating program information for a plurality of information providing systems with a proper ratio for each information providing system, with an improved electronic program chart display function. The electronic program guide display control apparatus comprises a storage means (13) for storing program information for each of the plurality of information providing systems, an integrating means (16) for creating an electronic program chart by selectively integrating the program information stored in the storage means (13), and a display means (17) for displaying the electronic program chart created by the integrating means (16). The apparatus further comprises a display item number determination means (18) for determining, for each information providing system and based on a predetermined integration condition, the number of items of program information integrated by the integrating means (16).
