Abstract: A fixing device includes a fixing rotator, a pressure rotator, a pressure plate, a pressing force, an entrance guide, an exit guide, and a transmission. The pressure rotator presses the fixing rotator to form a nip between the fixing rotator and the pressure rotator. The pressure plate rotates about a fulcrum to press the pressure rotator. The pressing force adjuster adjusts a pressing force of the pressure rotator. The entrance guide guides a recording medium entering the nip. The exit guide guides the recording medium ejected from the nip. The transmission transmits a displacement of the pressure plate to the entrance guide and the exit guide.

Abstract: An apparatus for successively securing a plurality of small bags to a first belt-like member via an adhesive layer is provided including a transportation path for transporting the plurality of small bags, one by one, towards said first belt-like member and an attaching apparatus for simultaneously attaching a plurality of small bags on the transportation path to the first belt-like member along the feeding direction of the first belt-like member. The attaching apparatus includes a stopper which stops the small bag in the middle of the transportation path and a pusher which compresses the small bag so stopped to the adhesive layer of the first belt-like member. A plurality of the attaching apparatuses are provided along the transportation path. In one embodiment of the invention, the stopper includes an end plate to block the transportation path, a side plate to pivot the end plate towards the transportation path, and an axis to support the side plate in a rotatable manner.

Abstract: The present invention is to provide a method and an apparatus for packaging a substance together with a freshness-keeping agent such as a deoxidizer, wherein, a belt-like member of the deoxidizer bags is cut into individual bags, which successively receive adhesive. Each bag is then supplied to a packaging film to be secured thereto. The packaging film is fed to a packaging machine, at which a substance such as foodstuff is packaged within the film.
