  • Publication number: 20100108247
Abstract: A process of making a micro glass beaded retro-reflective material comprising micro glass beads lenses, which are partially embedded in graphic matrixes of binding material. The pre-fixed rotating axes of the micro glass beads lenses lie at varying angles to the general plane of the graphic matrix to achieve uniform visibility in broad range of entrance and observation angles. The gaps between the graphic matrixes allow the permeability, flexibility, softness and color of the base material to be maintained.

  • Publication number: 20100098868
Abstract: A method for making coated fabric using a mixture of silicone particles and solvent to infuse the silicone particles into voids between thread fibers forming a woven or knitted fabric material. The fabric is formed using solvent and nano-sized silicone chosen in a size adapted to enter into the voids of the fibers. A controlled amount of coating is applied to one side of the moving fabric allowing it to be rolled up once dried by a blower and cured on the roll.

  • Publication number: 20080030856
Abstract: A retroreflective system comprising a monolayer of microsphere lenses arrayed in form of duplicative matrixes, the matrix is a group of micro graphic shapes line up in rows and columns, a matching binder layer of the above matrixes and a base layer of fabric or other substance. The reflective system will not fully covered the reflective area to allow seepage of moisture or air. The reflective system may comply with highest level in prevailing retrorflective code for safety garments.
