Abstract: The invention relates to a drum press comprising a device for clearing the inner surface of the drum or the outer surface of the roll. The drum is usable for instance for squeezing moist bark so as to make it suitable as a fuel. The drum press has a removing device placed at a distance from the drum or roll surface for removing material. The removing device is placed at a distance from the surface and on the surface there is provided a clearing device attached thereto. The present invention markedly reduces wear on the drum.

Abstract: In the pulp washing machine and method therefor, pulp to be washed is fed between the rotating drum and the pressing roll inside it, so that pulp passes along a spiral-formed track around the pressing roll, being thereby pressed several times. Washing liquid is fed to the pulp at one or several points along its track of movement, between the pressings and/or at the pressing position. Washing thus takes place partly as a diffusion and partly as a displacement washing process. Washing is efficient and reduces the breaking of pulp fibers down to a minimum.

Abstract: A lump peat machine mills peat by means of a rotating cutter which delivers the peat to a tube containing a screw conveyor for expression through a nozzle onto the ground. The cutter is raised and lowered through means of a hollow arm supporting the cutter at one end and mounted on the tube by means of an encircling bearing at the other end. The power train for the cutter is positioned within the hollow arm.
