    Abstract: A modular automated storage device and a method to operate the device is disclosed. The device can be built to different sizes and capacities depending on the number and type of modules used. A typical device has a multitude of storage modules connected to each other in one or more stories, one or more lift modules each having one or more lifts and each lift module being connected to at least one storage module. Underneath the storage modules there is a conveyor system comprising one or more conveyor modules. Each of the lift modules is configured to connect a conveyor module and one or more storage modules. Each lift in the lift modules is configured to move crates between the conveyor modules and the storage modules. The device has at least one console for loading crates and at least one console to receive the crates.

    Abstract: The invention provides a mechanical solution as to how a shuttle device may move between different temperature zones in an automated warehouse and still maintain the temperature in each temperature zone. A mechanical solution is provided to operate the doors separating the temperature zones. The doors are designed to close access openings between two modules and the openings are of such size that the shuttle can move through the opening. The doors are equipped with wheels and they are capable of moving along the same rails as the warehouse shuttle. The shuttle thus can push the door in front of it while exiting one module and entering another module. The shuttle can pull the door back to its place and thus close the opening between the modules when returning back to the first module.

    Abstract: An unmanned warehouse shuttle with telescopic arms capable of handling various sizes of packages and moving them fast and stably on in a warehouse system. The system provides increased stability in that a solid platform with stationary side compartments is provided, and the telescopic arms are constructed in a way that the two extending parts move on top of each other rather than forming a layered structure. The width of the loading space and distance between the arms is adjustable with simple screw system. A unique extension system for the extendable arms is disclosed where two of the three parts of the arms are extending and provide an extension length that is more than twice the depth of the platform of the shuttle.
