  • Publication number: 20140345602
Abstract: A trough type solar thermal collector which uses a curved mirror to make a heat tube which is arranged in the front of the curved mirror collect sunlight and to heat a fluid which flows through the inside of the heat tube, the trough type solar thermal collector configured to be able to avoid damage to the curved mirror due to vortex-induced vibration, is provided. The trough type solar thermal collection apparatus of the present invention is provided with, at an outer edge of the curved mirror in the direction of change of curvature of the curved shape of the curved mirror, vortex control means for controlling the flow of vortices which forms at the outer edge, whereby it is possible to avoid damage to the curved mirror such as occurs due to vortex-induced vibration at the time when higher windspeed resistance specifications are sought from the apparatus.

  • Publication number: 20110192528
Abstract: There is provided a process for producing a tube member made of fiber-reinforced resin in which it is unnecessary to fold back an end portion of a fiber layer impregnated with uncured resin, and which is capable of joining a tube member, which comprises a resin fiber, and a flanged tube material, which is to be directly rigidly coupled with an engine box or the like, while maintaining the fiber orientation in the initial orientation posture and through an extremely simple process as well. In the process, there is provided a base member 10 comprising a mandrel 1, and an end portion attachment member 2 that is attached to one end thereof and that has a protrusion and a wide diameter portion of a wider diameter as compared to the mandrel. A fiber impregnated with uncured resin is hoop wound around the outer circumference of the mandrel 1 to form a first wound layer 3. A fiber is further helically wound around the outer circumference thereof to form a second wound layer 4.

  • Publication number: 20060096993
Abstract: A pressure vessel has an airtight liner and a shell. The shell made of fiber reinforced plastic is formed by curing resin impregnated fiber bundles wound outside of the liner. The pressure vessel has a cylindrical portion, a domed end portion on each end of the cylindrical portion and a boss provided at the center of each domed end portion. The shell includes at least two fiber bundle layers which are formed by the resin impregnating fiber bundles and at least one shape correction member arranged between the fiber bundle layers at each domed end portion.
