  • Patent number: 5074401
Abstract: A bobbin-carrying apparatus to carry peg trays which have a tray and a peg protruded on one surface of the tray to support bobbins between conveyors provided at a fine spinning machine and bobbin-carrying routes provided at a winder. The bobbin-carrying apparatus comprises belts provided between the conveyors and the bobbin-carrying routes, pulleys guiding and supporting the belts, motors driving the belts functionally connected with the belts, and a pair of linear guiding members extending along the belts having the pegs of the peg trays therebetween. The belts carry the peg trays pressing the trays cooporating with the guiding members. The guiding members are provided relative to the belts so that the peg trays are carried while the pegs are arranged in the horizontal posture between the fine spinning machine and the winder.

  • Patent number: 4819302
Abstract: A clearer mechanism for a draft roller, a clearer holder supporting a clearer member therein, and a suspensory member suspended from the draft roller and detachably supporting the clearer holder such that the clearer member is held against a working periphery of the draft roller. The mechanism further includes an actuating member or a restraining member projecting from either of the clearer holder and the suspensory member for displacing the actuating member or the restraining member to thereby reciprocally move the clearer holder along the working periphery of the draft roller.

  • Patent number: 4813222
Abstract: A bobbin transfer system of a spinning frame (1), in which a series of trays (13) are carried on a pair of carrier rails (14, 15) driven to repeat a back-and-forth reciprocation. Hooking members (23) are arranged along the carrier rails (14, 15), which allow the trays (13) to pass thereover during the forward displacement of the carrier rail (14, 15) but inhibit the backward displacement of the trays (13) by the action of hooks (23a) formed on the hooking member (23) at a distance from each other corresponding to N times the spindle pitch wherein N satisfies the equation .DELTA.A.gtoreq..DELTA.D.times.N (wherein .DELTA.D stands for a manufacturing tolerance of a diameter of the tray 13 and .DELTA.A stands for an allowance for a grip distance of a bobbin catcher in an auto-doffer) and p stands for a spindle pitch. Accordingly, the trays (13) are transferred intermittently as the carrier rails (14, 15) reciprocate at a stroke larger than the spindle pitch.

  • Patent number: 4588063
Abstract: The supply chute of the present invention operates to supply empty bobbins to a bobbin reserve unit provided above a conveyor for transporting empty bobbins to a spinning frame, while maintaining the empty bobbins in substantially horizontal position as they fall down the chute. The chute presents a zigzag-shaped route in the direction of movement of the empty bobbins, which route is comprised of a plurality of subtantially vertically extending sections each having a length smaller than the length of the empty bobbin, each section being offset laterally with respect to the adjoining section or sections.

  • Patent number: 4566263
Abstract: The spinning frame of the invention comprises a passage through which empty bobbins returned by conveyor means provided above the spinning frame are guided towards empty bobbin supply sections associated with automatic bobbin changer annexed to the spinning frame. Halfway in the guide passage are a branch point for branching the guide passage into left and right side sections and a distributer for distributing empty bobbins. Below said branch point and halfway in the left and right side sections are storage sections for storing the empty bobbins in horizontal position.

  • Patent number: 4487012
Abstract: A method and apparatus for supplying operational fluid to a traveling-type working machine, such as a yarn piecer or an auto-doffer, which serves a parent machine, such as a spinning frame. The working machine utilized in the present invention has a secondary fluid tank and at least one nozzle attached to an air cylinder. Prior to the working machine serving the parent machine, the nozzle is advanced by an air cylinder, operated by fluid supplied from the secondary fluid tank, so that it engages with one of the air intakes provided on the parent machine. Then operational fluid is introduced from a primary fluid source into the working machine through the engaged nozzle and air intake, and thereby the working machine carries out a specific operation for the parent machine. Simultaneously, the operational fluid is distributed to the secondary fluid tank in preparation for the next engagement of the nozzle and the air intake.

  • Patent number: 4485616
Abstract: Method and apparatus for supplying vacuum to a serving device which travels along a multi-station parent textile machine such as a spinning frame and providing a servicing operation such as yarn piecing or package doffing to the stations of the parent machine are disclosed, wherein a vacuum duct, which has vacuum outlet openings corresponding to the individual stations of the machine and lids rotatably supported for closing the vacuum outlet openings, is arranged along the parent machine and the servicing device includes a nozzle which takes in vacuum from the duct. The nozzle is advanced toward the vacuum duct just before the servicing device reaches a station which calls for the servicing, and the end of the nozzle rotates the lid to uncover its vacuum outlet opening and then is stopped in alignment with the opening. Then, the nozzle is moved with the servicing device to rotate the lid thereby closing the outlet opening, whereafter it is retracted to its original position.

  • Patent number: 3986332
Abstract: An improved thread-draw-off guide attached to a spinning rotor of an open-end spinning unit. The thread-draw-off guide is provided with a cylindrical annular guide portion and a radial outer surface extended outward from the cylindrical annular guide portion and the above-mentioned radial outer surface is formed with a roughened friction surface characterized in that the coefficient of friction thereof against a yarn in a radial direction is smaller than the coefficient of friction thereof against a yarn in a concentric direction thereof.
