  • Publication number: 20050117478
Abstract: A method for reproducing data according to the present invention is adapted for reproducing data recorded in an optical recording disc including a multi-layered body formed by forming a decomposition reaction layer containing noble metal oxide as a primary component and a light absorption layer so as to sandwich a dielectric layer therebetween by irradiating a laser beam onto the optical recording disc and forming a recording mark train including at least one of a recording mark having a length shorter than a resolution limit and a blank region having a length shorter than the resolution limit therein, and is constituted by changing the read power Pr of the laser beam in accordance with a readout linear velocity at which data are to be reproduced from the optical recording disc.

  • Publication number: 20050105418
Abstract: A method for determining a read power of a laser beam according to the present invention includes a step of setting a power of a laser beam to a recommended recording power Pw? and forming a recording mark train including at least one of a recording mark having a length shorter than a resolution limit and a blank region having a length shorter than the resolution limit in an optical recording disc, thereby recording test data therein, a step of setting the power of the laser beam to a recommended read power Pr? and reproducing the test data recorded in the optical recording disc, a step of judging whether or not signal characteristics of a reproduced signal obtained by reproducing the test data satisfies reference conditions, and determining an optimum read power of the laser beam based on the result of the judgment.

  • Publication number: 20040146805
Abstract: An optical recording medium includes a recording layer in which a record mark can be formed by projecting a laser beam thereonto, a first dielectric layer disposed on the side of a light incidence plane with respect to the recording layer, a second dielectric layer disposed on the opposite side to the light incidence plane with respect to the recording layer, a heat radiation layer disposed on the side of the light incidence plane with respect to the first dielectric layer and a reflective layer disposed on the opposite side to the light incidence plane with respect to the second dielectric layer, the recording layer containing a phase change material represented by a general formula: (SbxTe+x)+y My wherein M is an element other than Sb and Te, the first dielectric layer containing a mixture of ZnS and SiO2, the reflective layer containing Ag or alloy containing 90 atomic % or more of Ag, and the heat radiation layer containing 90 atomic % or more of aluminum nitride.

  • Publication number: 20040055445
Abstract: A playlist generating method for generating a playlist of content from received broadcasted data is provided. The playlist generating method includes the steps of: extracting features of broadcast content beforehand, storing the features in a content feature file, and storing information relating to the broadcast content in a content information DB; extracting features from the received data, and storing the features in a data feature file; searching for broadcast content of a predetermined kind by comparing data in the content feature file and data in the data feature file; when a name of the predetermined kind of content is determined, storing data corresponding to the broadcast content of the predetermined kind in a search result file; generating a playlist for the broadcast content of the predetermined kind from the search result file and the content information DB.

  • Patent number: 5125239
Abstract: A self-contained air conditioner which includes a moisture-collecting pan formed of a part of the base plate on which a compressor, an inner heat exchanger and an outer heat exchanger are mounted and an air filter disposed between an inner grill and the inner heat exchanger, wherein the bottom of the air filter is set to be placed on the pan, thus preventing moisture formed on the air filter from dropping through the inner grill onto the floor of the room.
