  • Patent number: 4408349
Abstract: A channel selector in a receiver such as a television receiver is provided with a key board input for channel selection and automatic and manual fine tuning. A read only memory stores frequency division ratio data for each selectable channel and reads out this data when a channel is selected. In the case where there is a large offset between the nominal broadcasting frequency and the actual broadcasting frequency, it will be necessary to modify the division ratio data by means of the manual tuning keys. A RAM stores the manual tuning information input via the keys so that manual tuning need be effected only once. Upon re-selection of the same channel, tuning of the previously manually set position is automatically effected.
