Patent number: 8446114Abstract: A control apparatus for use with an electric power conversion system which is equipped with a dc/ac converter connected to an electric rotating machine and a capacitor joined to input terminals of the dc/ac converter. The control apparatus stores an angle of rotation (i.e., start angle ?0) of the electric rotating machine before start of control of energization of the electric rotating machine to discharge the capacitor and determines command currents idr and iqr which will result in zero (0) torque in the electric rotating machine. The control apparatus includes a command current correcting circuit which corrects the command currents idr and iqr by a difference between a current angle ? of rotation of the electric rotating machine and the start angle ?0, thereby avoiding constant rotation of the electric rotating machine when the capacitor is discharged.Type: GrantFiled: February 25, 2011Date of Patent: May 21, 2013Assignee: Denso CorporationInventors: Hiroya Tsuji, Tatsuru Morioka, Hiroshi Inamura, Takahumi Oowada

Patent number: 7151354Abstract: The invention provides techniques for reducing or altering the magnetic noise of an AC rotary electric machine. A magnetic noise reducing harmonic current of order n, whose frequency is n times the frequency of the fundamental frequency component of a polyphase AC current fed to an armature of a polyphase AC rotary electric machine, is superimposed on the polyphase AC current, thereby reducing or altering a harmonic component having a frequency (n?1) times the frequency of the fundamental frequency component and occurring due to a radial magnetic excitation force acting radially on an iron core of the AC rotary electric machine.Type: GrantFiled: June 16, 2004Date of Patent: December 19, 2006Assignee: Denso CorporationInventors: Soichi Yoshinaga, Kenichi Wakabayashi, Takatoshi Takai, Tatsuru Morioka, Hiroya Tsuji, Makoto Okamura, Shinobu Yamakawa

Patent number: 5789881Abstract: A power source control apparatus for parallel and series hybrid vehicles is provided. The power source control apparatus determines a required torque of a power source consisting of a generator-motor and an internal combustion engine based on a parameter indicating an operational mode of the vehicle and interrupts fuel supply to the internal combustion engine in a cycle based on the required torque of the power source so as to minimize a fuel consumption. The power source control apparatus further determines a required torque of the generator-motor based on the required torque of the power source and an output torque of the internal combustion engine to switch an operation mode of the generator-motor between a generator mode and a motor mode so as to compensate for a variation in output of the internal combustion engine during the cyclic fuel cut control.Type: GrantFiled: December 27, 1996Date of Patent: August 4, 1998Assignee: Denso CorporationInventors: Tsuneyuki Egami, Yousuke Setaka, Tatsuru Morioka, Keiichiro Banzai

Patent number: 5614803Abstract: In order to reduce distortion of a real-current wave form and to suppress substantial transient fluctuation of the current and torque during changeover from a regeneration running condition to the power running condition of a three-phase induction motor, changeover from the three-phase-modulation control to the two-phase-modulation control is carried at the same time the power running condition of the motor is changed to the regeneration running condition according to the motor-state-quantum such as a detected slip ratio, detected torque, detected current or the like. Thus, distortion of the motor-current wave form is reduced and significant fluctuation of the motor-current and torque during the changeover is reduced.Type: GrantFiled: June 22, 1995Date of Patent: March 25, 1997Assignee: Nippondenso Co., Ltd.Inventors: Tatsuru Morioka, Tsuneyuki Egami
