  • Patent number: 9753623
Abstract: A touch panel device displays a nautical chart as map data on a display screen. The touch panel device detects a first touch operation on the display screen and a second touch operation on the display screen, the first touch operation being a touch operation of which a position is fixed, the second touch operation being a touch operation of which a position is changed. The touch panel device obtains a rotational axis parallel to the sea surface based on the position of the first touch operation, and rotates a viewpoint of the map data centering on the rotational axis based on a change amount of a distance from the position of the first touch operation to the position of the second touch operation.

  • Patent number: 9727220
Abstract: A touch panel device includes a display unit, a detector, and a controller. The display unit displays an image (nautical chart) on a display screen. The detector detects touches at two positions on the display screen and touched positions thereof. The controller displays a distance and azimuths between the touched positions, based on the two touched positions that are detected by the detector and either one of coordinates on the image corresponding to the touched positions and information associated with the coordinates (positional information).

  • Patent number: 9671935
Abstract: A touch panel device includes a display unit, a detector, and a controller. The display unit displays, on a display screen, a nautical chart (map), and a touch panel device symbol indicating a position of the ship on the nautical chart. The detector detects rotating operation that is touch operation of rotating around the touch panel device symbol over a predetermined angle while touching the touch panel device symbol. When the detector detects the rotating operation, the controller switches a display mode to a different display mode in which a reference azimuth defining a displaying orientation of the nautical chart is different.

  • Patent number: 8090784
Abstract: A network system is provided with a plurality of terminals connected thereto, each of the terminals being configured to be connectable to a network and switchable between server mode and client mode. Each of the terminals includes a terminal information registration unit and a comparison information storage unit, and the terminal information registration unit stores information on each other terminal connected to the network as well as information on whether each other terminal is a server terminal or a client terminal. The comparison information storage unit stores comparison information used for server selection. In a server selection process, at least one of the terminals compares pieces of the comparison information stored in the comparison information storage units of the individual terminals through terminal-to-terminal communication and, depending on the result of comparison, one of the terminals to which priority is given is selected to work as the server terminal.
