  • Patent number: 11930668
Abstract: It is an object to provide a flexible light-emitting device with long lifetime in a simple way and to provide an inexpensive electronic device with long lifetime using the flexible light-emitting device. A flexible light-emitting device is provided, which includes a substrate having flexibility and a light-transmitting property with respect to visible light; a first adhesive layer over the substrate; an insulating film containing nitrogen and silicon over the first adhesive layer; a light-emitting element including a first electrode, a second electrode facing the first electrode, and an EL layer between the first electrode and the second electrode; a second adhesive layer over the second electrode; and a metal substrate over the second adhesive layer, wherein the thickness of the metal substrate is 10 ?m to 200 ?m inclusive. Further, an electronic device using the flexible light-emitting device is provided.

  • Patent number: 8064742
Abstract: A light input/output terminal module 100 comprises a jacket tube 110 and a flange 120. A glass portion 20 of the optical fiber is inserted in the center portion thereof. To efficiently remove the leaked light in a cladding 22 to the jacket tube 110, the jacket tube 110 is made of silica glass or the same material as that of the cladding 22. The jacket tube 110 is fixed by fusion splicing or adhesion to the cladding so as to integrally unify the jacket tube 110 and the cladding 22. The beam diameter at the fiber end portion is enlarged by an optical component which fusion bonds the tip end of the optical fiber to the coreless fiber so that the optical power density at the light input/output terminal module is reduced.

  • Patent number: 6909506
Abstract: An object is to accurately measure the Stokes parameters, without the occurrence of polarization fluctuations or PDL during the splitting of the incident light. When the incident light is made incident on a first-stage prism, the light is split into two first splitting light rays. Next, the first split light rays are respectively incident on a pair of prisms of a second stage. Each of the pair of first split light rays is split into two rays by a second-stage prism, to obtain four second split light rays.

  • Patent number: 6850668
Abstract: A variable group delay unit has a light multiple reflector for receiving incident light and generating output light at varied output angles depending on wavelengths, a light returning part for returning the output light to the light multiple reflector, and a slit member which is provided between the light multiple reflector and the light returning part. Only light of a necessary degree is transmitted through the slit member and is reflected to a light reflecting element. A method for designing an opening width of the slit member and a method for arranging the slit member are established.

  • Patent number: 6721099
Abstract: A variable dispersion compensator comprising: an optical incidence/output device for propagating wavelength division multiplexed light; an optical multiple reflector on which the wavelength division multiplexed light emitted from the optical incidence/output device is incident for repetitive reflections; and an optical reflection device for reflecting the wavelength division multiplexed light emitted from the optical multiple reflector toward the optical multiple reflectors, the device composed of a second lens and a reflecting element and being capable of controlling the distance from the optical multiple reflector. A temperature adjusting element and a temperature detecting element are arranged via a thermal-conductive elastic member on a surface of the optical multiple reflector at a portion where no drop occurs in the intensity of the wavelength division multiplexed light incident/emitted. The temperature of the optical multiple reflector is controlled by a controller.
