The data processing unit performs a process for displaying registration information described in control data and a process for updating the display in accordance with a change in predefined context. Further, the data processing unit displays the virtual object indicative of the registration information setting point in conjunction with the display of the registration information.

Abstract: A reception apparatus includes receiver and processing circuitry. The receiving circuitry is configured to receive a broadcast stream. The processing circuitry is configured to extract a service list table (SLT) from the broadcast stream. The SLT includes service information for each of a plurality of services in the broadcast stream. The processing circuitry is configured to determine whether the broadcast stream includes a digital rights management (DRM) service that is supported by the reception apparatus based on service category information in the service information for the plurality of services in the broadcast stream. The processing circuitry is configured to acquire DRM-related information, which is associated with the reception apparatus and delivered in the DRM service, based on a determination that the broadcast stream includes the DRM service that is supported by the reception apparatus.

Abstract: The present technology relates to a reception device, a transmission device, and a data processing method that enable a flexible operation of a service using an application that accompanies content. A reception device includes: a reception unit that receives content; an acquisition unit that acquires an application in accordance with acquisition source information indicating an acquisition source of the application accompanying the content, the acquisition source information being included in control information transmitted together with the content; and a control unit that instantly starts the acquired application. The present technology can be applied to a television set capable of receiving digital broadcasts, for example.

Abstract: A configuration is implemented by which, in a case where delivery time periods of transmission contents through different channels overlap with each other, a reception apparatus can select an acquisition target on the basis of priority information. A transmission apparatus sets, for each of transmission contents, service selection priority information (Service Selection Priority) capable of being utilized as a cache process priority criterion in the reception apparatus, and transmits the service selection priority information to the reception apparatus.
