  • Patent number: 11593788
Abstract: A checkout system includes a mobile point-of-sale (POS) apparatus and a server. The mobile POS apparatus includes a code reader, a user interface, a display, a wireless communication interface, and a processor. The processor controls the wireless communication interface to transmit a product code read by the code reader and a settlement instruction based on a user operation on the user interface. The server is configured to generate a data record including the product code and transmit a settlement request to a settlement server upon receiving the settlement instruction. If a settlement non-completion response is received from the settlement server, the server stores transaction data including a first identifier indicating the settlement request and a second identifier indicating the transaction data in a database and causes the display of the mobile POS apparatus to display a code symbol representing the second identifier.

  • Patent number: 11378182
Abstract: A vehicle controller controls a vehicle including an engine and an automatic transmission. The vehicle controller includes an electronic control unit. The electronic control unit estimates power generable by the engine based on a condition of the engine and a condition of the automatic transmission in a non-driving range, calculates a load on the automatic transmission in a driving range based on a condition of the automatic transmission in the driving range, determines whether a difference between the power and the load is equal to or smaller than a predetermined threshold by which an engine stall is identifiable, and limits a gear shift request from the non-driving range to the driving range when the difference is equal to or smaller than the predetermined threshold.

  • Patent number: 11052768
Abstract: In an electric vehicle including a motor for traveling, when an accelerator is switched from an on-state to an off-state, the motor is controlled such that a vehicle torque is varied more gradually toward a requested torque on a brake side (requested torque in the off-state) in turning than in traveling straight. Thereby, when the accelerator is switched from the on-state to the off-state in turning, drivability of the driver can be restrained from deteriorating.

  • Publication number: 20210090053
Abstract: A checkout system includes a plurality of cart-mountable point-of-sale (POS) apparatuses and a server. Each of the cart-mountable POS apparatuses includes a user interface, a wireless communication interface, and a processor. The processor controls the wireless communication interface to transmit login information including a customer ID obtained via the user interface and a terminal ID for the cart-mountable POS apparatus. The server generates a first data record associated with a first customer ID and a first terminal ID, upon receiving first login formation from a first cart-mountable POS apparatus system. And upon receiving second login formation from a second cart-mountable POS apparatus after generation of the first data record, associates the first data record with a second terminal ID rather than with the first terminal ID.
