The controller can determine whether the image on the recording medium is normal upon reception of a reading result obtained by reading an image on a recording medium that has passed through the image forming unit, and can exercise such control that a recording medium with an image that has been determined to be normal and a recording medium with an image that has been determined to be abnormal are sorted according to a determination result, the controller having a function of, upon such reading, dividing a reading result related to a recording medium and making a determination on an image on the recording medium in accordance with reading results related to segments obtained by division.

Abstract: A hardware processor of an image forming apparatus makes settings for an image forming process performed on a sheet, in accordance with an instruction from a user to a first user interface section, and makes settings for postprocessing performed on the sheet, on the basis of an instruction from the user to a second user interface section that is different from the first user interface section, and the settings for the image forming process and the settings for the postprocessing are made in association with each other.

The image forming device includes a communication section, a determination section, and a notifying section. The communication section receives, from a sheet detector for detecting a physical property value of a sheet, detected information acquired by detecting the sheet. The determination section determines whether the detected information meets a given condition or not.
