  • Patent number: 11421144
Abstract: A variety of systems, methods and compositions are disclosed for delayed release of a resin curing agent. An example method may comprise introducing a treatment fluid comprising a resin and delayed release curing agent particulates into a subterranean formation, wherein the delayed release curing agent particulates comprises a carrier, a curing agent disposed on the carrier, and a coating; degrading the coating; and curing the resin in the subterranean formation.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 27, 2017
Date of Patent: August 23, 2022
    Assignee: Halliburton Energy Services, Inc.
Inventors: Tatyana Khamatnurova, Paul Joseph Jones, Philip D. Nguyen
  • Patent number: 11345848
Abstract: A downhole treatment fluid made up of a binding composition and a proppant, the binding composition including an aluminosilicate source, a metal silicate, an alkali metal activator. The binding composition may form a coated particulate or an aggregate with the proppant and provides strength-enhancing properties. The binding composition has easy handling properties facilitating on-the-fly preparation and downhole injection procedures. Furthermore, the binding composition has a low strength-hardening temperature and so may strength-harden in the presence of downhole temperatures.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 6, 2017
Date of Patent: May 31, 2022
    Assignee: HALLIBURTON ENERGY SERVICES, INC.
Inventors: Tatyana Khamatnurova, Walter T. Stephens, Philip D. Nguyen, Gladys Rocio Montenegro-Galindo
  • Publication number: 20210269704
Abstract: Fracturing fluids and acidizing fluids used in wellbore stimulation operations can include a metal silicate having a molar ratio of SiO2:M2O of 2:1 or above, wherein M is an alkali metal atom or an alkaline earth metal atom. The metal silicate can increase the viscosity of the stimulation fluids and slickwater stimulation fluids.

  • Patent number: 10995261
Abstract: The embodiments herein relate generally to subterranean formation operations and, more particularly, to surfactant flowback aids for use in subterranean formation operations. The surfactant flowback aid composition may comprise an aqueous phase comprising an aqueous base fluid, a surfactant blend, and a demulsifier. The surfactant blend may comprise a C8-C18 alcohol ethoxy-late; a fatty acid alkanolamide; and optionally, a surfactant selected from the group consisting of a non-ionic surfactant, an anionic surfactant, a cationic surfactant, an amphoteric surfactant, and any combination thereof. The demulsifier may be selected from the group consisting of a desalter agent to separate water from crude oil, a treater agent to flocculate submicron particulates from crude oil, and any combination thereof.
