    Abstract: A protective carrying case for an electronic device, especially a video cassette recorder, includes upper and lower carrying case halves of high impact material with the video cassette recorder positioned therebetween. Tamper resistant element are provided for securing the upper and lower carrying case halves to each other. First and second element are provided for affording access to the video cassette recorder cassette door and electrical connections respectively, the electrical connections passing through an integral barrier between the upper and lower carrying case halves for protectively isolating the video cassette recorder from a user thereof. A control panel allows a user access to at least a portion of the video cassette recorder's manual controls.
