  • Patent number: 4749237
Abstract: An inventive hydraulic cylinder with a control valve is compact and easy to assemble. The cylinder has a cylinder body including a working chamber and a valve sleeve bore, a valve casing fitting into the valve sleeve bore and consisting of a first valve casing member and a second valve casing member, both valve casing members being inserted into the valve sleeve bore and defining a control chamber, a sealer for one end of the valve sleeve bore separated from the second valve casing member, the sealer and the second valve casing member defining an intermediate chamber connected to both the working chamber and the control chamber.

  • Patent number: 4571006
Abstract: Each of two valves disposed in a housing is constructed as a unit which comprises a casing in which substantially all essential parts of the valve are housed, and a plug member removably connected to the casing for retaining the parts in the casing. The valve comprises a valve body movably disposed in the casing, a piston slidably disposed in the casing and movable in fore-and-aft directions in response to application of hydraulic pressure thereto to open and close, in cooperation with the valve body, the communication between inlet and outlet ports of the valve, and a valve seat mounted to the piston for assuring the communication open end close function achieved by the valve body and the piston, wherein the valve seat has a configuration which affects the characteristics of the piston, and the valve seat is removably connected to the piston.

  • Patent number: 4500761
Abstract: A fluid reservoir with a fluid-level sensor includes a manual testing device consisting of two separate but cooperative rods. The fluid-level sensor consists of a float within the reservoir and a reed switch which is closed to cause a low fluid-level alarm when the float is lower than a predetermined level. The testing device serves to depress the float to below that level to ensure that the switch and the alarm are working. A first rod is supported by a filter mounted at the top of the reservoir. A second rod is supported by a flexible cover which fits over the top of the reservoir. The rods are coaxial and free to move downward far enough to push the float to below the above level. Having the two rods separable allows the cover to be removed easily without damaging the manual testing device.
