  • Patent number: 6398496
Abstract: Helicopter blades each have a piston connected to it. The pistons are movable within a cylinder between innermost and outermost positions. The hydraulic fluid of each cylinder is connected to other cylinders by a hydraulic tube or through a manifold. A drive bar moving synchronously with the blades is connects to the cylinders. As the helicopter moves in flight the force of the wind against a blade causes a piston to move inwardly. This causes fluid to be expelled from the cylinder into the another cylinder by way of the hydraulic tube causing other piston to be moved outwardly. Meanwhile the other piston, because it is moving with the wind, is exerting an opposite effect on the other piston. The result is a tendency for the blades to approach an equilibrium condition with respect to the wind forces to minimize the shocks to the overall system.

  • Publication number: 20020039526
Abstract: A garage has increased parking capacity for vehicles. A parking level has water filling the parking structure so that boats or floating platforms may fill the parking level. The only passageway needed is that which will accommodate the boats or platforms. Vehicles entering the garage are driven onto an endless belt and this belt drives the vehicle onto a platform having another endless belt. When exiting the vehicle's belt drives it off the platform to an exit area. Multiple levels accommodate even larger capacity garages. A computer can control entry, exit, and movement of the platforms to random locations and/or to elevators in multiple level garages.

  • Patent number: 5850968
Abstract: An air conditioning system with temperature and relative humidity sensors connected to a computerized control system. The control system acts on preselected stored data to turn on the air conditioning system to maintain the environment within a selected comfort zone. Air flow through finless coils and a preset damper enter a constant speed blower to an air duct. The air in the ducts remains over the dew point. In an alternative arrangement a coil with fins as well as a coil without fins is used.
