  • Patent number: 5656341
Abstract: A liquid-filled device including a pair of superimposed pliable sheets that are interconnected or sealed along peripheral edges. The superimposed pliable sheets are also interconnected along an inner seam. A first chamber for containing a liquid is defined by a space between peripheral edges of the sheets and the inner seam. The portion of the device which is between the superimposed pliable sheets and which is inboard of the inner seam defines a second chamber for containing a liquid. The device further includes an opening along a portion of the inner seam, which opening is sufficiently large to permit both liquid and discrete articles within that liquid to flow in both directions between the first and second chambers.

  • Patent number: 5256457
Abstract: A device including a pair of superimposed pliable sheets that are interconnected or sealed along peripheral edges. The device includes an enclosed, liquid-containing inner chamber defined by the sealed peripheral edges and by the pair of superimposed pliable sheets. The liquid is freely movable within the chamber. At least one discrete article is suspended within the liquid, and the article is manipulatable by causing displacement of the liquid medium. Graphics are included on one of the sheets. These graphics correspond in shape to the discrete article, and that discrete article is alignable with these graphics.

  • Patent number: 5104699
Abstract: An article of manufacture, comprising a pair of superimposed pliable sheets. The sheets are interconnected along at least their peripheral edges. A liquid-containing chamber is provided at the center of the article, and this chamber is formed with the pair of superimposed, pliable sheets. A generally flat figurine within the chamber floats within the liquid, and a point of the figurine is secured to at least one of the pliable sheets to enable the figurine to float securely within and pivot about in the liquid.

  • Patent number: 5047267
Abstract: A protective serving mat is disclosed comprising generally flat first and second chambers superimposed on each other. The first chamber is transparent and is adapted to embody fluid media and objects suspended therein for amusement. The first chamber includes a resealable opening so that a user may access the first chamber to alter the contents as desired. The second chamber is visible through the first chamber and is used to protect and display generally flat items such as papers with sealing decorative or amusing indicia or menus. The second chamber includes an opening to allow access to the chamber so that the menus or indicia bearing papers can be varied as desired by a user.

  • Patent number: 4941590
Abstract: The present invention is an article of manufacture comprising an inner surface, an outer, generally visually transparent surface, and a generally annular space between and defined by the inner and outer surfaces. The annular space contains a liquid. One or more generally flat disks are provided within the annular space, and the disk or disks floats upon the liquid. A plurality of fins within the annular space imparts turbulence to the liquid and propels the disks as the article is rotated about its axis.
