  • Publication number: 20230044264
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to materials, and specifically to materials such as sheet, molded or extruded polymer materials containing flake, formed, powdered, granulated or splintered borosilicate glass for heat rejection or mitigation and enhanced durability and strength. The invention provides a synthetic substrate that includes: 1 to 70 wt % borosilicate glass having an average size of 0.1 to 50 um; and 30 to 99 wt % polymer material, wherein the synthetic substrate has either a denier ranging between 0.1 to 20.0 or a thickness ranging between 0.1 to 20 MIL, which provides thermal management properties including reduction in solar absorptance and net power absorbed by surfaces. The greater the intensity of the solar radiation the more reactive the borosilicate becomes, reflecting and dissipating an increased level of energy.

  • Patent number: 6041640
Abstract: A method and apparatus for ejecting a member from a die. The method includes the steps of rotating the member about its axis and axially displacing the member relative to the die. The ejector device includes an ejector having an axis and twisting means for rotating the ejector when the ejector is axially displaced. The invention further includes a formed member including a body being symmetric about an axis, a spiral protrusion extending from the body, and connecting means for rotationally coupling the body to an ejector device.

  • Patent number: 4253242
Abstract: A digital angle indicator for the measurement of predetermined angles. The indicator comprises a rotatably mounted gravity responsive opaque rotor having transparent slots therein for selectively passing light from light sources to light detectors, said light detectors being connected to a plurality of visual indicators through a digital logic circuit for activating said visual indicators in response to said light detectors. The visual indicators provide an indication of the attainment of the angle being measure and values greater or lesser than the desired angle.
