Abstract: A lighting assembly includes one or more spheroid lenses and a lighting insert configured to hold the spheroid lens or lenses and to cover a hole in a vehicle body panel. The lighting insert is further configured to form a water-tight seal with each of the vehicle body panel and the spheroid lens or lenses. The lighting insert defines a lens aperture configured to hold a corresponding spheroid lens. The lens aperture is substantially smaller than the hole in the vehicle body panel, and the lighting insert is further configured to form a water-tight seal with each of the vehicle body panel and the spheroid lens. The lighting insert may define a circle shape that is configured to cover a circle-shaped hole in the vehicle body panel. The lighting insert may define an oval shape that is configured to cover an oval-shaped hole in the vehicle body panel.
