  • Patent number: 4481384
Abstract: A call denial apparatus for denying a subscriber's access to a trunk. A voice recognizer is connected to the trunk, and receives a password spoken by the subscriber. The apparatus then receives digits dialed by the subscriber over the subscriber's line and carried by the trunk, matching them with one or a series of digits stored in a memory. In the event the password or subscriber's voice matches a predetermined password or voice, the digits which are dialed are passed over the trunk. However in the event that the password or voice does not match the predetermined password or voice, and in the event a predetermined one or group of digits are dialed which match a prohibited digit or group of digits stored in the memory, the trunk is split, and the subscriber is restricted from further access to the trunk. Thus only predetermined subscribers have full access to the trunk, and other subscribers have access only for limited services, or for no services.

  • Patent number: 4304966
Abstract: A PABX control circuitry housing which functions both as a housing for the circuitry and also as an indicator console, and can be mounted either on a wall or a desk top. To achieve a narrow, inobtrusive cabinet which can be used in this way, printed circuit boards are mounted parallel to the front of the housing. Indicators such as light emitting diodes (LEDs) are mounted along one edge of each of the printed circuit boards retained within the housing. The printed circuit boards are retained on successively stepped ledges, which causes the edges containing the LEDs on each of the boards to be visible from the front of the housing. A darkened, preferably translucent window in the housing allows the operator to view the LEDs. A silk screened or other imprint on the window provides the operator an indication of the meaning of the lit LEDs.

  • Patent number: 4227237
Abstract: A cabinet for housing electronic components such as printed circuit boards, providing maximum density of storage yet allowing easy access to each board for insertion or removal. The cabinet is comprised of a base member, and an elongated generally U-shaped cover member having a pair of legs adjoining an outer surface, having an open side generally facing the base member and at least one open end. A pair of parallel channel members are disposed opposite and facing each other along the inside of the legs of the cover member, with one end of each of the channel members facing the open end of the cover member. Further means is utilized for hinging the other end of the cover member relative to the base whereupon the open end can be swung away from the base.
