  • Publication number: 20100257660
Abstract: Swimming or diving goggles includes a lens unit including two viewing sections. A front face of each viewing section is a portion of a peripheral face of a cone. The cone has an apex and a bottom face, and the peripheral face extends between the apex and the bottom face. A spacing from a top face of each viewing section to a vertical axis passing through a center of the bottom face in the thickness direction is smaller than a spacing from a bottom face of the viewing section to the vertical axis in the thickness direction. A normal plane perpendicular to each of the two viewing sections is at an acute angle with the vertical axis. Each viewing section is a curved face in a circumferential direction about the vertical axis. A frame mechanism is coupled to the lens unit and in intimate contact with eye sockets of a wearer.

  • Publication number: 20100175174
Abstract: A pair of swimming goggles includes two lens assemblies and a bridge mounted between the lens assemblies. An inner side of each lens assembly includes a bridge coupling portion having a longitudinal axis at an acute angle with a central vertical axis of the bridge. The bridge includes two legs and an arcuate section interconnected between upper ends of the legs. The bridge defines a space having increasing widths toward lower ends of the legs coupled with the bridge coupling portions. A spacing between a rear side of the lower end of each leg and a vertical axis extending through a rear side of one of the lens assemblies is smaller than a spacing between a rear side of the arcuate section and the vertical axis. The arcuate section has a rear arcuate face. A spacing from the rear arcuate face to the vertical axis decreases downward.

  • Publication number: 20090205115
Abstract: A strap adjusting device includes a buckle having two through-holes spaced by a partitioning wall. A pressing member is slideably and rotatably received in each through-hole. The pressing members are movable relative to the buckle to adjust a distance between each pressing member and a pressing edge in each through-hole. At least one resilient strap is mounted to a body of a pair of swimming goggles and includes two ends each of which is wound around one of the pressing members. The strap is pullable to adjust tightness of the strap when the pair of swimming goggles is worn on the head of the user. The pulling force acting on the strap urges each pressing member to move toward one of the pressing edges to tightly clamp the strap and to fix a length of the strap.

  • Publication number: 20090113608
Abstract: A pair of swimming/diving goggles includes a main body and two head strap coupling members respectively provided on two sides of the main body. A board is pivotably mounted in a through-hole in each head strap coupling member. A head strap is extended through the through-hole of each head strap coupling member and around the board. A spacing between the board and the outer end wall of the through-hole of each the head strap coupling member is changeable when the board is pivoted, allowing the head strap to move to adjust a tightening length of the head strap. The head strap exerts a clamping force to clamp the head strap between the board and the outer end wall of the through-hole.

  • Patent number: 7296306
Abstract: A pair of swimming/diving goggles includes a goggle body, a buckle, and a head strap. A wall delimiting a through-hole in the goggle body includes a pressing face. A pin is mounted to the buckle. An end of the head strap extends through the through-hole, a gap between the pin and an inner face of the buckle, and then extending through the through-hole again. When an outer portion of the head strap is pulled and then released, a clamping force provided by an inner portion of the head strap moves the pin to a position in which the head strap is tightly clamped between the pin and the pressing face. When the buckle is moved toward an inner end of the through-hole, a gap between the pin and the pressing face becomes larger to allow loosening of the head strap.

  • Patent number: 6711754
Abstract: A pair of swimming/diving goggles comprises two lenses, a protective frame, and a main frame. Each lens is made of rigid transparent material and includes a peripheral edge. The protective frame is made of a material that is slightly flexible and pull-resistant. The protective frame includes two rings each having a receiving groove for engaging with the peripheral edge of an associated one of the lenses. The main frame is made of soft material and securely engaged with the protective frame by means of molding injection. The main frame includes two padding portions for intimate contact with a user's eye sockets. • Patent number: 6691378
Abstract: A buckle includes a body having a pressing portion, a clamping portion, and a bendable connecting portion between the pressing portion and the clamping portion. The pressing portion includes two sidewalls and a post fixed between the sidewalls. The clamping portion includes a clamping hole. The connecting portion is mounted around a mounting peg of a main body of a pair of swimming/diving goggles. An end of a head strap of the pair of swimming/diving goggles extends into the body, winds around the post, and extends out of the body. The end of the head strap is pullable to obtain a desired tightness, exerting a force to the post to press against retaining edges on two lateral sides delimiting the clamping hole, thereby reliably positioning the head strap in place. The pressing portion is manually movable to disengage the post from the retaining edges, allowing loosening of the head strap.
