  • Publication number: 20090076772
Abstract: A method and apparatus for supplying a customer with a footbed. A kiosk provides measurements of a consumer's feet with a self-guided display by using both pressure measurements and scanning of the feet. The measurement information is converted to identify which of the preselected and stocked components proximate the kiosk can be combined to provide an appropriate footbed for the consumer.

  • Patent number: 5785413
Abstract: A dual lamp fixture having an integral power supply and control circuit. The dual lamp fixture utilizes stroboscopic and incandescent lamps mounted near the focus of a parabolic reflector which may be actuated alternately, individually or simultaneously. Multiple lamps may be connected in parallel to a DC power bus and a differential line, twisted-pair communication bus to achieve a variety of controlled flashing patterns. Each lamp will perform its given tasks when an appropriate command signal is placed on the communication bus. To take full advantage of this distributed control and the advantages in bus-wiring topology, the power supply is located in close proximity to its controller and light fixture.

  • Patent number: 5736925
Abstract: A vehicle warning system controller is disclosed which controls and synchronizes all annunciators installed on a vehicle. The vehicle light control system takes a modular approach to vehicle light control. The first module is an operator module that accepts control commands from an operator and provides visual feedback to the operator. The second module is a central module which processes the commands and controls the attached annunciators and accessories. The vehicle light control system of the present invention has the ability to interface with and control several types of annunciators.

  • Patent number: 4426638
Abstract: A flasher controller for vehicle warning lights that comprises a housing for a circuit board that electrically controls the device. The apparatus includes a mounting strap of conductive material which includes an internal ground connection with the circuit board and a mounting flange external of the housing that functions as the external ground connection for the circuit board. The housing is filled with a resinous material that functions as a weatherproof seal, as well as means for securing the mounting strap to the housing. The device is adapted to automatically sequentially operate and flash either amber or red warning lights on the vehicle in accordance with a plurality of selectable programs. The control functions are effected entirely by solid state electrical components which are potted together with the mounting strap.

  • Patent number: 4268713
Abstract: A flasher for vehicle lights that comprises a housing for a circuit board that electrically controls the device. The apparatus includes a mounting strap of conductive material which includes an internal ground connection with the circuit board and on a mounting flange external of the housing that functions as the external ground connection for the circuit board. The housing is filled with a resinous material that functions as a weather-proof seal, as well as means for securing the mounting strap to the housing. The apparatus is further characterized by a secondary housing for an electrical component that communicates with the main housing and which is secured thereto and sealed by the resinous material.
