    Abstract: Fiber-reinforced composite materials include a matrix of a thermoplastic polyamide resin, at least 3 weight% of at least one impact modifier, and 7-60 wt% fiber reinforcing agent of discontinuous meta-aramid fibers. The composite material is melt processable, and is impact resistant as measured by an unnotched Izod test method according to ASTM D4812 having a value of at least 12 ft-lbs/in (640 J/m). The composite materials can be used to prepare articles such as safety articles.
