  • Patent number: 5021555
Abstract: A color photographic material with good photographic performance, such as sharpness, speed and granularity, contains a development inhibitor releasing compound having the structure: ##STR1## wherein: CAR is a carrier moiety;TIME is a timing group; andINH is a development inhibitor moiety,in association with a cyan dye-forming coupler having the structure: ##STR2## wherein: R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, Q, Z, Y, m, and n are as defined in the specification.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 7, 1990
Date of Patent: June 4, 1991
    Assignee: Eastman Kodak Company
Inventors: Richard P. Szajewski, Terry R. Taber
  • Patent number: 4980267
Abstract: A combination of a development inhibitor releasing coupler having a particular releasable mercaptotetrazole group with a particular alkoxy-benzoyl yellow dye-forming coupler as described in the specification in a photographic silver halide element and process enables improved dye images upon exposure and processing. This combination of couplers enables particularly improved dye images in a color photographic element and process comprising a particular phenolic cyan dye-forming coupler and a particular pyrazolo[3,2-c]-s-triazole magenta dye-forming coupler.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 30, 1988
Date of Patent: December 25, 1990
    Assignee: Eastman Kodak Company
    Inventor: Terry R. Taber
  • Patent number: 4861701
Abstract: Photographic compounds capable of releasing a photographically useful group are more effective in photographic materials when the photographic compounds comprise at least two differing timing groups in sequence between a carrier moiety and the photographically useful group. The two timing groups in sequence enable improved timing and control of release of the photographically useful group.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 5, 1987
Date of Patent: August 29, 1989
    Assignee: Eastman Kodak Company
Inventors: Paul A. Burns, Terry R. Taber
