  • Patent number: 7844060
Abstract: A light socket mounted radio receiver speaker device having a light bulb screw base for attaching to a light socket. A detector having a detector signal input, a first electrical output and a control output is electrically connected to the light bulb screw base. A radio receiver is controlled by the control output of the detector, having a radio frequency input and an audio signal output, whereby said radio receiver converts a radio signal into an audio signal. A speaker is connected to the audio signal output of the radio receiver, whereby said audio signal may be propagated. A light bulb socket is in electrical connection with the first electrical output of the detector.

  • Publication number: 20060249619
Abstract: A line tensioner having a spool table disposed on one axial side of a takeup drum and a brake table disposed on a second axial side of the takeup drum. A torque-receiving plane is disposed on the spooling table, forming one side of receiving channel. The bottom edge of the torque-receiving plane intersects the underside of the spooling table, forming a roof or spooling guide. As the roof traverses angularly away from the receiving channel, the roof lowers in a downward direction towards the brake table. The roof forms an inclined plane screw surface about the takeup drum. Traversing angularly about half a rotation, the roof approaches the receiving channel on the opposite side of the spooling table. Continuing to traverse angularly, the roof continues in a downward direction, while a capture or locking bed is disposed on the spooling table, forming an opposite side of the receiving channel. The roof terminates, generally at its closest approach to the floor of the brake table, forming a hitching fang.

  • Publication number: 20050037715
Abstract: A pair of mutually communicative signal converters useful for converting a standard telephone into a cordless phone is provided, wherein each of said pair of signal converters comprise an amplifier, a transmitter and a receiver. The converters broadcast either analog or digital FM radio signals, and remove the need for the handset and the base of a standard phone to be connected by a wire cord. The converters broadcast signals in frequency ranges of about 27 MHz, 43-50 MHz, 900-928 MHz, 2.4 GHz, 5.8 GHz, and greater than about 5.8 GHz. When broadcasting digital signals, the converters employ digital spread spectrum technology to divide a total signal package into smaller, discrete packets, which are then broadcast over a plurality of frequency ranges in order to provide greater security for the user.

  • Publication number: 20030201889
Abstract: A remote security condition detection and notification system is provided comprising a security condition detection and notification apparatus capable of uplinking a digital radio signal to a widespread digital two-way radio communication network, and a programmable wireless digital telephone capable of downlinking a digital radio signal from said widespread digital two-way radio communication network, wherein data regarding the detection of one or more of a plurality of predetermined security conditions can be uplinked to the digital two-way radio network via a transmitter in the detection and notification apparatus, and then quickly downlinked from the digital two-way radio network to a receiver disposed in the remote programmable wireless digital telephone in such a manner that an operator of said remote programmable wireless digital telephone can obtain information regarding the precise nature of the detected security condition.
